ABC has gone so seedy that it can't even seem to put on a supposedly wholesome family show without edgy, off-color or subtlety sexual humor. I have been a fan of America's Funniest Home video's for years because of its wholesome good clean fun. This last season is a tremendous disappointment. 30 clips of "ball"-crushing accidents is one thing, but showing men, women and children in their underwear, bras and a bathing suits popping off, and children innocently doing sexually suggestive stunts is beyond the pale of family programming. For heaven's sake, the host of the show can't even talk to a toddler sucking on his mic without making crude remarks.
This show needs to decide if it's for adults or children - it can't be both at once. If for adults, then it should be moved to the adult programming hour, not at 7:00. If for children, show some restraint, for heaven's sake. You guys have so many edgy shows on, allow us a show or two of good wholesome fun, without the trash please!
CANTON, MICHIGAN -- After Four years the bottom of the washer is starting to [rust] and they told me there was nothing they could do. The washer cost $373.00 and the repair men said it would cost me $250.00 to fix it. The bad part of this, that when I bought the washer I got a 5 year warranty. They told me the warranty did not cover this. HA! HA! How about that!
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I hate that when I watch an on demand television program, that I can't fast forward. Think about it, if I had interest in the advertisement, I'd watch it, but no, I am forced to watch 45 Muppet Movie commercials. I wouldn't go see that movie if my attendance cured cancer. I've begun to just not watch shows that can't be fast forwarded. ABC/Disney are the absolute worst in that regard. Nearly every on demand show prevents fast forward. Madison Avenue must be severely retarded to recommend this tact to ABC.
Personally, I put advertisers that implement this kind of mean-spirited advertising on my "do not support list", i.e. The Muppet Movie. I won't watch the movie in the theater, on cable, DVD, computer, and not I won't let my kids or grand kids ever watch it. I hope ABC/Disney pulls their marketing head out of a specific sphincter muscle.
My grand kids, 13 and 5, were with us last night so we were watching the Cat in the Hat, The Grinch, etc. on the ABC family channel when a commercial came on advertising upcoming shows etc. When it began to show women in scantily clad attire and provocative poses that lasted way too long. I couldn't believe this was on at 6:15 P.M. and on a family TV channel. I was very upset and concerned about this and ABC should be ashamed.
I attempted to view the Rose Parade on ABC this morning. I listened to banter, laughter, with a look at a float passing down the street. Camera view showed a group or float behind the featured float, then the camera switched to the announcers, who were chattering about each other. Behind them a band was Marching along. No "Oh yes, back to the parade!" "Ah... there is a float and lets talk to the people from Days Of Our Life" and the starring actress says "Here's what is going to happen in 2011". Who cares! I want to see the Rose Parade. All of it.
I want to know what equestrian group is in the parade. I want to know what is going on in the street behind the blabbing announcers. Advertisements should only be scrolled at the bottom of the screen. I won't buy UNO, I won't buy a Discover card, I won't buy Geico, I don't and won't eat at McDonalds. What happened to the GOOD OLD DAYS. Are you improving? No way.
When I allow my children to stay up late, we watch re-run episodes of America's Funniest Videos. I was really upset last night when they showed their VS. segment. It was Strippers VS. something that I forgot. I was shocked that they showed almost nude adults slipping, tripping, etc. I had to pretend that I mistakenly changed the channel, so my young children would not be exposed tho this garbage. This is one of the few shows that we watch together, and sadly enough, we will not be watching together anymore. Change your "garbage" segments, or you will see an increase of complaints, and decrease in viewers.
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Hired them for tree removal. Did a lousy job, and then did not return to finish what they were paid for. Owner ** admits to not completing job and advises that balance of money will be refunded, but it's been 5 weeks, and no refund. Calls and emails to him have gone unanswered. Yes, I should not have paid them in full, but the owner ** seemed to be an honest guy, so lesson learned and buyer beware! This will go to litigation, but that's my problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
It is very disturbing that ABC Television does not care what their viewers want rather they are only in for the money, how disgusting. Our economy is tanking and they only care about themselves. No respect for their followers of All My Children for 41 years. I am so disappointed. It was so nice to turn on the television and see familiar faces, and some sense of normalcy in this very harsh economic time. I will not watch the CHEW, nothing against the people in it, but come on, have some respect for your long time viewers.
What is going on!!! The creeps on The Bachelorette have not been edited out of the show!!! How dare you ABC for showing these narcissistic misogynistic young men disgrace themselves and The Bachelorette. I promise you executives at ABC, I am going to STOP watching your network!!!
