FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS -- This is hands down one of the most unprofessional places I have ever been. My stepmother who is in critical condition from her Diabetes did not show up to our scheduled appointment because she woke up sick as she does most mornings.
When my sister and I arrived on time to our 9:30 am appointment we explained the situation. Immediately the man and the woman that accepted guests as they walk in became rude telling us that they hope our mother could pay us back because we were indeed going to have to “settle” for the massage. Keep in mind there is no stated policy anywhere in the spa that says you have to pay the full amount, and did not notify my sister who scheduled the appointment over the phone the day before.
After they informed us quite rudely that we would have to pay some amount for her not showing up they continued to rant that they had masseuses that commuted from 30 miles away and that it was ridiculous we did not call. The rant was completely unnecessary for my sister and I had already agreed that we would pay even though we realized no warning had been given. The massages were great and the masseuses were very enjoyable.
Once we were finished and directed back to the lobby I asked the man if we would have to pay for the entire massage or just compensate for the masseuse that had to commute. He said yes we would have to pay the full $65 for a massage not even administered. Thinking this was a little extensive I asked him if he had told my sister this on the phone the day before. He looked at me and told me "Do not argue with me, it was your mother that didn't show up." This man was 30 years my senior and my sister's.
We not only felt uncomfortable from the moment we walked in, we were talked to like we were not paying customers or that we had not tried to rationally talk and find out if this was indeed a true policy. I would not recommend ANYONE to go here. Unless you like being treated like a dog. If you cannot talk to people respectfully who are giving you THEIR business I would recommend you not go into the customer service field.
