I purchased this product months back at my local supermarket (it was on sale) I had never tried this brand before. But, I figured what could someone do to all white meat tuna. All I can share with you is that not only was it disgusting in taste, but in color and it had no foundation - pure mush. And the worst part was when I looked on the can for a number to contact the company - there was a incorrect 800 number and when I called my product manager at my local market and told him about the horrific product - he informed me that he was sorry but they had no number or mailing address for Ace of Diamonds and the warehouse that it came from could not provide it.
So, the next best thing is to post my review and warn people everywhere even if they offer this horrific product for free DO NOT TAKE IT - the life you save may be your own!
WESTMORELAND, NEW YORK -- While eating a sandwich made with Ace of Diamonds Solid White Tuna, a premium product, I bit into a fairly large fish bone. Luckily I didn't swallow it. I believe this is now a product of Chicken of the Sea. I will never again purchase tuna sold by Ace of Diamonds or Chicken of the Sea.
COLLEGEVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA -- In all my years of grocery shopping I would purchase 3 Diamonds Tuna in cans. It was leaps and bounds above all other brands in my opinion. 3 Diamonds has sold and is now called Ace of Diamonds Tuna. No longer is the tuna chunks that you can flake off. It's mushy and appears to be ground up. I will no longer use this brand as I feel it is low quality. What a shame....
The Ace of Diamonds (formerly 3 Diamonds) tuna I bought 3/16/07, described on the can as 'chunk white tuna', was indeed tuna and did have some visible chunks, but it was closer to soup than any other can I have ever bought. If you ever tried to drain the liquid from soup, you know there's not much left to eat. This product made one TERRIBLE slimy sandwich.
