Terrible Service After Accident
Posted by DISGUSTED on 02/12/2008
DALLAS, TEXAS -- This morning at 6 am, I had one of Allen Limo drives collect me at my house, when I got to the car he was sleeping. I got into the car myself. We then proceed to travel to DFW in the HOV on 75S. The driver seemed to be swerving in the lane.Just as we passed under George Bush interchange he nearly clipped the poles on the HOV lane. Before Beltline he nearly clipped one of the poles again. I asked him if he was ok and to slow down and he never responded. Just before we reached 635 he hit the concrete island in the HOV lane causing an accident. When the car stopped he got out of the car, did not even check on me and he called his boss instead of 911. The driver in the car behind us called 911. The driver kept on telling me to say nothing to the cops cause he had 2 children. The cops arrived and spoke with him, the car was towed away with the driver and I had to call my wife to collect me from the accident scene.

3 hours later I called the limo service complaining about my frustration about having missed my flight and about the accident. An hour later the owner Rafeal called back and rudely and unconcerned told me to speak to his insurance if I had any complaints and that accidents happened.

To all out there don't use this service. I had been using them for over a year and will discontinue to use their service as they seem more concerned with dollars than people. Not once did the owner even ask me if I was okay. This is disgusting for a place that I have used for more than a year.

Probably the driver had been drinking or getting high.

nothing like a little "wake and bake".

This driver should be fired.
Did the coppers give him the drunk test?

Sounds like he was either intoxicated or falling asleep. I'm going to go with intoxicated since he was so paranoid after the fact. I would demand he get a drug/bal test done to determine if intoxication caused the accident.
On a side note though, if I hired a car to take me somewhere and the driver arrived half asleep I wouldn't have got in the car.

if the tests were not done at the time of the accident, it is to late now.

Actually drug tests can be done up to 72 hours after an accident because certain drugs can stay in the blood stream for almost a week. A hair follicle test can be done upwards of one year post accident, all drugs stay in the roots of your hair for a year even with daily washing. An alcohol test can be done within 24 hours or after you can request a hepatic function lab, consuming alcohol will raise your liver enzymes significantly and can last for upwards of 2 days after the consumption of alcohol.

Contact FOX4 news and tell them your story. That might get Allen Limo some bad press. Chip Wagner had the chopper over you because of the morning commute being hosed.

The own has still has not even offered a half heart apology for the incpovience instead in respond to me saying that the manner in which they handled this was terrible, he emailed me and said and I quote "Accidents happen so What?" Allen Limo and their owners do give a rats ass about people. I once asked then not to send a specific driver because he went thro a toll post on 114 @ 75 miles per hour and I certainly wasnt late for a flight. I want the whole of Dallas to know how terrible these guys are. I will try to make contact with Fox4 tomorrow.

Thanks

Disgusted, it is your own fault for getting into this. Allen limo is the cheapest and the most unreliable company in Dallas. Everyone who travels with me for business has used them once or twice and ran from them. I was once picked up in a car with duck tape all over it. I called the company too and I was rudely told that all their cars are well maintained and I have nothing to worry about. But they are definitely the cheapest “limo-cab” service in Dallas. If you are looking to save a few bucks, they are a way to go. You definitely get what you pay for with them. I would insist that the owner would drug test the driver. I seriously doubt FOX4 news will be interested in your story though.

My new company charges a bit more, plus they charge extra for early morning trips, but the drivers are always top notch (and always professionally dressed), wide awake and they never work through the night according to them. Either morning shifts or night shifts, so they get plenty of rest.

There are always 2 sides to the coin, and people some times just get the wrong impression.
I own Allen Limousine, first of all, we do random drug tests, and I can guarantte you that the driver was not high, or Drunk. If you really want to know, not that it makes a differance or is an excuse but Gary (the driver) did not sleep all night because he spent the night with his kid in the hospital, but again people right away jump and assume the worst, again I repeat, it is NOT an excuse, but the truth. He should not have been driving the next morning, but he did not tell anyone that. Second, when you called me, and started attacking me, you said I am on my way to my doctor, and I will call you later with the bill, I simple told you accidents happen, call the insurance comapny instead of attacking me. I am sorry that it happen, believe it or not, but I am glad that you are ok and the driver is ok.
