BROOKFIELD, WISCONSIN -- I had a conversation with an "Adam" from Phoenix at Alpine Lending who said he was taking my current loan information and would have someone call me back either way to tell me if they could "significantly" improve my situation with regard to monthly loan payments and interest rates. The next call we got was someone telling us we had missed our appointment, even though we had not agreed to meet with anyone. About one week later we got another call from a representative at Alpine Lending telling us we missed another meeting. It was at this time my wife and I made a decision we would NEVER do business with Alpine Lending, even if they were the last mortgage company left because of the way they tried to force and bully us. If they used these high-pressure tactics on us now, imagine how high-pressured they would be if we qualified for a loan with one of their lenders.

BROOKLYN PARK, MINNESOTA -- This Company called me to refinance thru them, and while talking to the telemarketer on the telephone, I could hardly hear him, with all the shouts and cheers going on in the background, the company sounds so phony, with their 5 ring binders with 1000's of lenders in it.
My girlfriend refinanced thru them, and told me to stay away, it took 3 months to close, and it was the biggest mistake shes ever made.
I have already decided to go with GREEN ACRES Mortgage, they are very professional, and know the business!!

Company Response on : The complaint from "tander" finds fault with a telemarketing/call center atmosphere. That it is offensive to him is certainly beyond our control and he is well within his rights to deal with whatever company best suits his needs. However, the complaint references a girlfriend whose refinancing process took ninety (90) days. While this is not our usual time frame, certain loans are more complex by nature of the applicant or the property. The more complicated the process of finding a good fit in terms of a lender and subsequently meeting all stipulations for closing a loan the more time the process takes. We have offered to investigate a specific complaint, but have had no response from "tander" so that we can do so.
You will find here following excerpts from just a few of our recent Customer Satisfaction Surveys that are conducted at the conclusion of each loan closing. Almost all were initially contacted by a telemarketer.

From Linda: "The loan officer was extremely helpful in finding a mortgage for me. He went the extra mile where as a lot of other contacts from other mortgage companies dropped the ball, didn't follow up with me. He was very informative & explained things in a way I could understand."

TEMPE, ARIZONA -- Had a terrible experience with this company. Spoke with senior loan officer, Josh Weinstein, regarding a refinance on my existing mortgage. Was hesitant about giving my credit card number, but Josh had explained this was company policy before they could send out a good faith estimate and that they would not charge the $325.00 application fee until I had signed, accepted, and returned the loan paperwork. Received the paperwork quickly, but application contained several errors. For instance, we spoke of a 6 month LIBOR ARM, the application contained the words 3/1 ARM, we also spoke about cash-back and the application did not contain what we spoke of originally. I contacted Josh immediately about the errors and told him I decided to continue to shop around. Just received my credit card statement and they had charged my card without authorization! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! Currently disputing the charge with Alpine Lending and my credit card company and will also be filing a complaint with the BBB.
