Al's Snowmobile buyer beware!

NEWPORT, VERMONT -- I ordered from Al's Snowmobile in Dec 14, 2009 and received the wrong part. We called them and shipped the part back at our expense on 12/18/09. We didn't hear from them and it had been about two weeks so once again we called them, they said to send our coil to them then they would send the part. We mailed the coil to them at our cost of course on 1/6/10. Now we are well into Jan 2010 we call again after not hearing from them or receiving the part. Now they claim they received an empty box from UPS and will not refund my money. I will be contacting the better business bureau tomorrow along with consumer affairs.

I am also contacting UPS I have the receipts from both packages being mailed to them and received by them with conformation dates and my bank statement. I want my old part and my money refunded.

Als sent the right part for the year and model the customer asked for. Customer gave the wrong year so we asked this customer to send the old one to match up. They said they sent the old one back with the one we sent them. It was not in the box with it. Today we received their old one in a separate box and we are trying to match it up to theirs to help the customer get the right part and know what year they may have.

Did you order the wrong part, or did they just send you the wrong part?

I got the wrong part once from Al's 2 winters ago I think-it was their mistake. They apologized, sent me the right part overnight, and also paid for the shipment of the wrong part back to them.

Maybe in 2 years something changed.....

Nice keep the lies coming i can prove what i have said and can back it up with a paper trail. All we wanted was our part back and my money refunded they refuse to do that. Funny the tracking date from ups said delivered on 1/8/10 so how did you JUST receive it today! I'm not the only customer wanting their money back or that has been ripped off by them! So say what you will Al's Snowmobile keep trying to cover your bottom i have the truth and facts in black and white! So does my bank as of today.

Thanks redmx3racer for the good feedback. We still have the same great customer service you received. Sometimes years are wrong or motors have been changed without people knowing what previous owners have done. Or if a model is one year off the part could be different. We have ordered a few coils in at our expense to try and match up to pokeys which he obviously wanted us to do when he sent his old one (in a separate box) for us to match up to. I am going to just send his part back and stop trying to match up his as that sounds like what he wants us to do now. All this over a $30 part, I guess there are some people you just can't please even if you go out of your way to try and help. Thanks, Als

WE RETURNED THE WRONG PART BACK TO AL'S OUR COST $8.61 MAILED UPS ON 12/18/09.
AL'S RECEIVED AND SIGNED FOR PART ON 12/23/09 @ 11:46 A.M.
NEVER CONTACTED US SO WE CONTACTED THEM ~~ STATED THEY WANTED OUR PART MAILED OUR PART OUT TO THEM OUR COST $8.61 UPS ON 01/06/2010.
AL'S RECEIVED AND SIGNED FOR PART ON 01/08/2010 @3:26 P.M.
WE STILL HEAR NOTHING FROM AL'S. NOW AL'S LIE ON COMPLAINT SITES SAYING CUSTOMER WAS WRONG, WE JUST RECEIVED PACKAGE TODAY, WE HAVE ASKED REPEATIDLY FOR OUR OLD PART AND MONEY RETURNED. TO DATE NOTHING BUT THE RUNAROUND.

The BANK refunded my money!

To date Al's Snowmobile has not taken our calls to work this out. Yet they are happy to lie in response to my posts.
Al's Snowmobile refused to refund our money or send our part back. Thanks to my bank at least our original payment was refunded.
