PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- We ordered furniture, from American Signature Furniture about 6 months ago. We spent a substantial amount of money and received complete garbage. After weeks of playing phone tag, their manager finally called me back. They agreed to replace our furniture, but would no longer honor the warranty we previously purchased with our initial purchase. During the delivery of our new couch, they tore a piece of leather on one of the legs. Of course we complained, and they showed nothing but disdain for us.
Stay away from these people, do not shop at American Signature Furniture, they're unprofessional and completely rude. I regret ever stepping foot in that store.
MONTGOMERYVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA -- I had ordered a coffee table and end tables at the end of Nov. 2011. At the time, we were told they would be delivered Jan. 4th, 2012. When they didn't come, I called. Turns out they had pushed back the delivery to March 5th, 2012 without notifying us or offering any explanation. March 5th came and went, again with no delivery, no phone call, and no explanation. They now say it will be April 7th. We paid them money for their product all the way back in November and have gotten nothing for it. Nobody will field our complaint. The employees at the store say it isn't their problem. I encourage all to NEVER shop at American Signature. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 03/07/2012Add reply
SARASOTA, FLORIDA -- American Signature should be forced to change their name. Literally 99% of what they sell is imported from the Far East. Cheap quality, overpriced and they do not stand behind their product. We purchased 2 leather sofas and that were represented as 100% leather. Obviously this is not true as the leather is separating from the backing and looks terrible with only moderate use. We contacted the store and customer service said "Too bad, nothing we can do. They do not make leather like they use to."
Do not do business with these folks if you want a retailer that will stand behind what they sell. There are too many other choices out there that are reputable and will stand behind their product.
SUNRISE, FLORIDA -- I read so many negative reviews abot this company and all of the other furniture stores in my area, it was almost frustrating thinking I was going to have a bad experience regardless of where I went. ... read full review1 Replies - Latest reply on 09/19/2010
Newspaper ad plainly stated that the sofa on sale was made in Italy. In the store, the model in question had signs on it also saying that the sofa was made in Italy. When it was delivered, the sofa was tagged, "MADE IN CHINA." 4 Replies - Latest reply on 11/07/2012Add reply
FORT MYERS, FLORIDA -- I ordered a whole house full of furniture from American Signature Furniture in Fort Myers, FL. Six weeks later, I am still waiting for a sofa ( any of the two I ordered - don't care which) or any of the chairs with ottomans that I ordered. Just cancelled the order. Customer Service is awful - snarky and rude. They really don't care - some other sucker will buy it should it ever come into the store. Not a good business model and not a company I will ever do business with again. Of course, they billed me for all the furniture immediately, before it even arrived. MIAMI, FLORIDA -- Do not buy!
We bought our sofa set at American signature we had to wait almost 2 months to pick it and then they only had one part of the set ready. The sofa came with a rip on the back part, and by that time we didn't even want to complain we already had enough with the bad customer service that we got over the phone by three different service reps.
We were also promised a 50 dollar credit that to this day three months later we have not received.
All in all bad place to buy.
While I've certainly read several bad reviews of American Signature Furniture, my wife and I recently bought a dining room table and chairs for less than Wal-mart advertised. We just got the set put together and the quality is flawless, not a dent or scratch. I just wanted to add some good words about the product we've received.
SARASOTA, FLORIDA -- My compliments to American Signature Furniture in Sarasota, FL. I purchased a leather sectional couch and two matching leather ottomans from them four years ago (in 2005). In May of this year (2009), the leather on two parts of the sectional started to peel off. When I purchased this furniture, I also purchased the repair/replacement insurance that was supposed to cover rips, peeling, spill, etc of the furniture. The insurance company refused to honor the claim. To make a long story short, this insurance company is one that many furniture stores use and it is useless. I complained to the American Signature store in Sarasota (where I purchased the furniture). The General Manager sent a technician to my house to evaluate the furniture. They agreed that the leather on the couch should not be peeling and allowed me to replace the furniture with furniture from their store for the amount that I originally paid. They were concerned, professional and courteous during this process.

I appreciate the fact that they did the right thing, when the insurance company wouldn't. I will be purchasing more furniture from this store, based on my positive experience.
BRANDON, FLORIDA -- I purchased a dining room set and a sectional from American signature and it has been of the utmost quality. my home consultant was great and I plan to do all my furniture shopping at the store. I saw almost identical pieces at other stores for hundreds of dollars more and they didn't come with the lifetime guarantee you get with AS furniture.
Great quality product, friendly people, and low prices.
TRENTON, NEW JERSEY -- My husband and I purchased a couch, bed, dresser, and coffee table from American Signature in Langhorne Pa. We were told our first scheduled delivery would include our bed, couch and coffee table. When the delivery men arrived we were minus our bed. Since our new mattress was being delivered the same day I was concerned. I called the store and in one hour they had a bed pulled off their showroom floor in my bedroom for us. We only had to wait a week more to get our bed and when it came they took their loner bed out and set up our new one and moved our mattress onto the new bed. Yesterday we received our dresser and mirror. We LOVE our furniture it is exactly what we wanted and are going back to get end tables and the armoire that matches our bed. Their customer service is excellent.
The prices are markedly less than other furniture stores and as long as the quality is good and they will exchange what is not to my liking I could care less where the stuff is made if it is saving me money.
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- If you need to purchase high quality furniture at affordable prices go to American Signature Furniture. They sell lines made of wood and high quality wood veneering. Doors and drawers have screws and dove tail joinery and with biscuit and dowel construction used in chairs and sofas. You can find furniture with no glue and staples and particle board unlike that "look-a-like" furniture at other stores.
