YORK, PENNSYLVANIA -- April 2008 my wife and I purchased 11 doublehung windows from Appleby Windows, York PA. Windows were installed on time and no problems with installation. Upon inspection of windows we found defects in glass in 7 of 11 windows. We showed install crew and they took note and contacted management. Appleby has been back to our home and replaced glass packs in all our windows at least twice. Effects are small dust particles in glass.
Management says they will no longer replace glass because it meets gov. Standards. My wife and I complained to the highest level of management we can and VP of operations laughed at my wife and said unless we have a mechanical failure they are done with us. Is this anyway to treat customers. I would not recommend them to anyone.
