Bad Roofers Of Savannah
Posted by on

I moved to Savannah GA in Aug 06, In that time Did some minor updates like windows and paint to the house. In March of 2007 I decided it was time to redo the roof for update purposes. We went with a company called ASAP Roofing in Savannah GA. They removed my old roof and replaced it with a beautiful new one in just one day. We paid $5,000 for this roof. March, April and May go by and it begins to leak. First, it leaked in my master bathroom where my skylight is located, then moved on to my main bathroom where the light is located. After calling them almost every day for 3 months, being avoided and told false promises they finally came out in Sep 2007. Two men came an older gentleman and younger fellow came and looked like tared up the spots on the roof. Today Oct 26, 2007 I woke up to my roof in my bedroom filled with yellow spots on my ceilings. I have already called them once again this morning three times.

Come to see, they have no physical mailing address, nor do they have a website that they have advertised in the yellow pages. I am at wits end with this company and do not know what to do. I will never recommend this company. I have had 2 people in my neighborhood ask me about the company due to the job looks great from the outside. I would not recommend I repeat! This has been one of the worst experiences of my life.

The customer service is horrible when you have a complaint. I am guessing the installation is all wrong!

how did you find them in the first place?
moneybags on 10/26/2007:
Contact them once more in writing and advise them that if the leaks are not satisfactorily repaired within 10 days, you will not only sue them, nut will also:
1. Contact the consumer protection office of the DA's office
2. Contact the business license department and take action to have their licenses cancelled
3. Contact the IRS. This threat normally works

I kind of know what you have experienced as I am going through a similar situation. My leaks are coming through the newly installed vents, in the laundry room & master bath. Was the business licensed if so, did you contact any of the above listed organizations -- if so, were they any help?

Please read a new post on this same subject, in the "my3cent" at:
hopefully this will help in giving you some possible avenues for you to take against this contractor.
