LAFAYETTE, CALIFORNIA -- The customer "service" is beyond terrible: it's not that the underpaid low level phone wranglers are bad (although some ARE) but that the corporate ethos is obviously one that is all about ripping off its customers and frustrating us at every opportunity. COLUMBUS, OHIO -- I purchased 3 lines of service with AT&T I had the phones for 3 days and a tower in my area dropped I was not able to make call for hours. I then took the phones back I was charged $105 for a re-stocking fee. I explained for hrs that this issue was not my fault. I have a child who is 1 years old, in my house. What if something was to happen to us while these Towers were dropped? I spent $300 on a deposit which I'm still fighting to get back. So now I'm out of $405 for service that I did not get to use. LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- I signed up for a landline phone and was told that it would be connected by 11/21 at 8pm... now they say it's going to 11/25 before they can turn it on and there is nothing I can do to get it turned on any sooner. I have no choice but to use AT&T for landline service as they have a monopoly in Louisville, KY (thank you Mayor). My son was to be released from incarceration on Thursday but can only do so with a landline... the court will have to set another date approximately 6 weeks from now, so he gets to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas in jail because AT&T can't keep their word.
I sure hope the executives at AT&T get to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas at home with their family while I sit in a jail visiting room seeing mine.

ALLENTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- My bill is due on the 17 of the month. I paid it on the 18th but that same day the new bill came out. two weeks after the most recent bill was due, My service is suspended. I have only been with AT&T for three months. I pay my bills, not on the exact day the new billing cycles comes out but a week or two later. The bill is high, so it's not smart to let it accumulate, beside it's what one does, pay bills.
I called AT&T asked them why my phone was suspended. They said my bill was two months late. It was two weeks after the most recent bill cycle started. I have been with T Mobile for five years no problem, but TMobile changed their plans and it was not working for me, so I switch. BAD IDEA. THE WORST TELECOMMUNICATION COMPANY IN THE USA!!!!!!
A week after your billing cycles comes out, you get phone call and text telling you that your bill is due. I called asked to please stop sending those phone calls and text. If they cancelled those automatic phone calls, then they'll suspend your phone without notice. Why should I worry about my phone being suspended if I pay my bills.
Their game plan is for you to sign up with automatic payment. I rather not. I like looking at my bills and seeing what I am being charged for.

TOLEDO, OHIO -- AT&T has failed for over nine months, to provide me
the adequate and professional service to my phones. The horrible miscommunication has continues up to this day. The best that they can come up with is to try monthly to distort my bill, try forcing me to pay erroneous charges, fussing and disagreeing against all facts presented. I have recorded proof of all that I have presented and there is no argument.

I was promised a rebate of 100 dollars if I purchased necessary equipment for my internet hook up and got a notification letter in the mail without the confirmation number enclosed. So I have not been able to reach anyone that can do anything for me. CALIFORNIA -- AT&T is a very unprofessional company. They lied to me saying they would provide a reconnection of my phone and took money over the phone TWICE and then did nothing!!! Very fraudulent practice to lie to a customer. There was mistake after mistake with my account and I had had the same phone number for over 20 years. Loyalty counts for nothing to these people and they do not try to correct their mistakes. They only take into account what THEIR employees put into their little notes and do not value what the customer says might have happened. Horrible, horrible company!!!Add reply

The reception can be so inadequate that AT&T may ask you to pay more in addition to your regular bill to buy another device (MicroCell) that might increase reception in just one selected spot, even though you are already paying them for service in that location. They will fault your phone, battery life, building interference, weather, stars or whatever, but will not accept responsibility.
AT&T is obviously having issues and are not telling cutomers. After over 6 months of wasted time on the phone trying to resolve, I finally got tired of AT&T's excuses and switched to Verison, miraculously with the same type of phone and the same conditions the reception was perfect.
I you want good reception and service in Chicago, I recommend to stay away from AT&T and go to another service carrier!
AT&T commercial with the kids. I think that commercial discounts women. The older man puts up his hand the minute the girl starts to talk and says I want to watch this. He does not have time to listen to the girl's opinion but he does have time to listen to the boys in the same group.

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- My daughter moved on to another wireless service (man she is smart) and I suspended her old line on the web. I called into AT&T to discontinue her data plan and was told that I would have to give them a non smart phone IMEI to discontinue the data plan on a suspended line. (THE LINE IS SUSPENDED) So now we have contracts on phone lines and data plans separately. I'm sure that I will find a old phone somewhere that I can use to cut the data off, but should I have to offer that much of my time to a company who is already getting more than 200 bucks a month from me? The greed from these companies is unheard of, totally amazing. on multiple I-phones & Uverse, went to the store to discuss what AT&T would do to keep me as their customer. All contracts were expired. AT&T in store manager said AT&T would upgrade one Iphone to a 4S at for $99, no contract, a $30 activation fee that they would reimburse when I received my bill. When I received my bill it had multiple fees for activation, upgrade, etc. Went in person to the store to have the charges reversed and was told that they locked me into a two year contract during the purchase. I make them prove it with a signature and they only showed in internal computer screen that had wording that I licensed a two year contract. The only signature they had on file was when I purchased the phone for $99.00. They agreed to take the phone back but as everyone knows, not easily done when multiple business email accounts are activated on it. Be careful, as these sales tactics are unethical and I plan to report them to the state regulatory commission.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- We signed up for AT&T cable. A technician came on Saturday to install the service - ran into some trouble, left after assuring us another technician would arrive that afternoon to fix the problem and that we would have service by the end of the day (we had terminated service with another provider and were without any TV).
Another technician came and spent two hours on the premises - left after telling us the problem was fixed and there would be another technician coming later to finish the installation and we would have service by the end of the day. No one came.
On Sunday morning we called AT&T, explained what had happened and that all the technicians had said we would have service on Saturday. Sorry, they said, we don't have service on Sundays and holidays (it was Labor Day weekend)and the sooner we can get there is Wednesday between 3 and 5pm. Nothing would change their minds.
We cancelled the service on the spot.
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I have the LG thrill phone for one year. The last 5 months has been hell with it. The problem is the power cord. I have replace 7 times already. When I try to charge my phonei have to hold the cord different ways. I can't just plug it in either I have to giggle and play with it for a couple of minutes. I have to keep checking to see if its charging. I've had the phone replaced and its still doing the same thing. Art I need help with this problem I like your service but this phone sucks. I have kids and I don't need to worried if I'm going to miss there call. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP MEAdd reply
