KENTUCKY -- I bought a $575 BCBG "Blue Ombre Timoa" silk gown from BCBG.com and was shocked at what I received. The dress is absolutely horrible! It is of such poor quality--(made in China), the fabric across the chest will not lay straight----and worse, there is white tacking thread running down the front of the chest. (No disgusing it). The color is nothing like the picture---rather than blue, it was more purple---with a faded grey/beige bottom. The fit is also bad. If I didn't know better, I would say it was a knock-off. I bought this gown directly from BCBG.com and they would not take it back or exchange it--because I returned it beyond 30 days (45 days). This is completely unreasonable. Now I am stuck with a worthless $575 rag. Be VERY careful buying from BCBG. They do not sell quality merchandise, they do not stand behind their products, nor do they care about their customers.

from the looks of their web site and prices, they are supposed to be a higher end seller. Thanks for letting other folks know that they aren't acting like one. You might see if you can challenge the charge to your credit card (if that's the form of payment you used) and see if you can get some resolution from BCBG Max Azria Group, Inc., that way.

I paid over $200 for a dress from BCBG. It's too tight, but they say that's the only size they have. Is that my fault? So I would settle for a credit as it is a sale item and it clearly states " Standard Policy does noy apply to sale items". Which would be getting my money back. So I know I can't get my cash back but no exchange or credit either? Come on! This is 21st century and keeping customers happy is important to company health! Unbelievable. I will never show there again...beware everyone

By any chance was the reason that there was no exchange or credit that the dress was worn?

Did you order this online, or purchase it in a brick and mortar store. Online their return policy does state "All sales are final on sale items, promotional merchandise, accessories, lingerie and swimwear."

If purchased in an actual store, why would you not try it on before the purchase?

I'm confused. Does this dress only come in one size, and you're upset that that size doesn't fit you? Or does it come in other sizes and they're out? Also I thought you said that the policy said it didn't apply to sale items. To me that means sale items are on their own policy, which is no returns.

It seems I agree with the consensus here. If the terms of sale clearly states that, "All sales are final..." then that would be exactly the case.
