I was on hold for one hour this morning. This is not unusual as I have experienced wait times like that before. After being on hold I was told that my daughters name was on the account I was attempting to speak with them about not mine. I own and pay for my daughters cell phone and put her name on the money gram payment thinking this was the right thing to do. I was told they could not take the hold off of the phone and that we would have to call back after holding for one hour. Asked to speak to the supervisor, Gwen, and she was just as rigid as the original person who answered. I asked to speak to Gwen's manager and she informed me I would have to put complaints in writing and they would respond in 10 days.
Beall's Communication has a captive audience in that they are the only contractor enabling a consumer to speak with an inmate. Their employees are always rigid and rude on the phone because they know familys are wanting to speak to their loved ones who are in jail for various reasons. The Department of Corrections in Ga should not contract with just one company since that creates a problem for consumers of the product (which is very expensive I might add because there are not alternatives).
It appears this company does not have a proper chain of command to deal with consumer complaints. Thank you
