Awful Company - Avoid!

BOSTON MA -- I ordered a bed via Bedroom Furniture Direct (a CSN Company) on 25th March 08, now 13th May and no bed! Tracking number says "no such item" when I try and use it. I have received no explanation from Customer Services regarding the delay, just more apologies and excuses. I have now been sleeping on the floor for nearly 2 MONTHS and I am sick of it!!!!!

I am also sick of the constant need for me to contact this company, who never contact me to keep me updated, only to be informed I "should have received it by now" - I know that, thank you very much! This item was meant to be shipped within 3-5 days, it was shipped 4 weeks after ordering.

If I need to contact them again it will only be to cancel the order and buy from a different company. I have been very patient so far and accepted all their excuses but everyone has their limit and I have reached mine!

I will never use this company or any other CSN company again. It is a ridiculous way to run a business and they need to start acting a bit more professionally and think about their customers!

LATEST INFO May 16th 2008:

I just received the email below from the company today (I was told my bed had dispatched AND been sent a tracking number)!!!! Needless to say I will NEVER use this useless company again and have canceled my order!

UPDATE: 23rd may 08

After writing a very stern letter to CSN Stores, someone called Mark called me and apologized profusely. He said he could see what a mess the whole order was and how badly it had all been handled. He asked me to choose another bed and said he would make it up to me.

I chose a moderately priced bed and left a message on his answerphone to say which one I would like as it was very similar in style to the one on my original order.

Today, I received a phonecall from someone who Mark had asked to call me - they were offering me a price which was $117 MORE than my original order!!! HOW IS THIS MAKING IT UP TO ME????? WHAT A SCAM - if they charged everyone $117 extra every time their company screws up big time, leaves customers sleeping on the floor and sends them fake delivery tracking numbers, they will be very rich in no time! I am deeply shocked that any company would see this as an acceptable solution to what amounts to infuriatingly incompetent performance on their part.

At first, I was wondering why you were upset...the company had offered to 'make it up' to you and they sure sounded sincere. You took them at their word and ordered a 'similar' bed (apparently more expensive) and expected a price break on the order. I'm curious. What was the price difference in the two beds? Was the origninal bed 'no longer available'...ever? This sure smacks of a bait and switch tactic. Order a bed and it never shows up. Then, customers (to replace the missing bed) are guided into ordering a more expensive bed which they otherwise would not have considered. Thanks for your post.
