Best Pulled Pork Sandwich I Ever Ate
LACEY, WASHINGTON -- We have been seeing Benje's (Ben-gie) mobile food service trailer since we came to Washington, and yesterday Crystal stopped byas it is only open on weekends. Benje Smith is the owner/operator of the business, and the unit has a stainless steel interior that is immaculate Benje sent me samples of the pulled pork and ribs, and with the first bite, I was transformed. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and I had the baked beans while Crystal had the macaroni salad. The pork is done to a T, and was juicy and tasty, while the beans were to die for. Crystal is not much on beans, but she tried a spoonful and said those beans were fantastic. Benje's menu consists of pulled pork, ribs, and BBQ, along with sides and bottled soft drinks. This is not Chicago style BBQ, no cole slaw on the sandwich, but real southern BBQ. Beje has three sauces, and the one we got was just right. The prices are reasonable, and the food is fantastic.
If you come to Lacey, watch for Benje's unit in front of RV Welding and Hitches on Martin Way E. You will not regret it.
