False Billing Received
Posted by Dbwhitt on 07/17/2008
I keep getting "bills" from the Bradford Exchange (aka collectibles.com) for a Mickey Cuckoo Clock that I have not ordered. They want my "first installment" of the over $200 total charge! I have returned their "invoices" to them in their own envelopes and written on them that I have ordered nothing and requested they remove me from their list. But I keep getting these bills.

I haven't found anything on this site with a search of them. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

How did they get your name? have you ordered from them before? How does the clock work?

Since Bradford Exchange has postage paid fillers in many magazines, do you suppose some 'friend'(?) sent one in with your name and address on it? I also echo what was said by bargod. Did you return the clock?

Possible that some dear "friend" submitted my info. I remember doing that when I was in high school... l-o-n-g ago! I have not received the clock. They keep telling me that they will not ship it until they get my payment, and of course, the easiest way to pay is to submit via credit card - yup, that's gonna happen! ;> Their operation reminds me very closely of the Silkes Enriche company that sent a "free" product to my wife, then a bill for over $20! They are mentioned several times on this site, but I haven't seen anything about the Bradford Exchange. Thank you for the comments. It's nice to at least know someone sees my venting.

Hey there...give their customer service a call at 1-877-268-6638. this number is for collectibles today, which is the same company. they'll be able to straighten this out for you and cancel that order.

I had a problem when I ordered checks from them--When I got them my account # ws wrong and they refused to do anything about it, except of course re-order them for me at the fee that I just paid.
