I've booked a flight for my wife and I to fly back to Scotland this April. I booked the flight online back in early March. The same flights are now available today (Mar 22nd 2011) on BA at a lower price. BA has a price guarantee (or so I thought) I called them and was told that since they would have to charge me $275 per ticket to get a $80/person refund then obviously it's not viable.

I then went online and found a website that offered the same lower fare, (bingo...or so I thought).
I went back onto BA's website to submit the request for a refund. I then looked closely at the small print..........
Item 8. states: Claims must be received by British Airways before 12AM (midnight) Pacific Standard Time on the DAY OF PURCHASE OF TRAVEL at ba.com.

JAMAICA, NEW YORK -- This is what I was told when I attempted to have BA honor their promise that when I joined the Ex. Club my miles for my upcoming Business class trip would be credited to my account.

When I discovered that they did not apply my miles they responded that I just went over the time period to contact them about their mistake. After about an hour on the phone and emails back and forth over a month's time I finally said that I could not stay a customer with an airline that treats their (at least this one) customers so dishonestly. Their reply from Supervisor Mr. Melody ID#101721 was "you Win some and you lose some." I could not believe he actually said that to me so he repeated it several times more.
I did email CEO Keith Williams at "Keith. x.Williams@ba.com". For some reason I am not expecting a reply from him.
Have you received this kind of disrespect from your conversations with them?
I think that my daughter and I contracted food poisoning from salmon eaten on this flight, Is there anyone else out there who has the same problem. I am not criticising just trying to find out where I got this horrible bug from! 5 Replies - Latest reply on 08/02/2013Add reply

I flew with BA on the above flight, All the crew were excellent but there was 1 particular person who stood out from the rest, her name was 'Heather'.

She was excellent, friendly, chatty, couldn't do enough and she really made a difference to our flight on BA, so much so we will go with BA next year to JFK.
Good customer service makes all the difference and I must say that booking our city break was excellent from start to finish, hotel, transfers, flights were very good and 'Heather' just topped it all off
Well done BA

I am planning to send my two minor kids from US to India on BA. Before I made reservations through a travel agent I contacted BA about the procedure for sending unaccompanied minors. I was told by a person Mr Shawn (BA representative) who advised us that we need by an adult tikcet and then call BA to add the feature of unaccompanied minor within 3 days of departure. I booked tickets.

When I called BA to add this feature, SURPRIZE they changed they version. Now they say that I need to by a publihed fair ticket. How in the world we know different types of tickets they sell. Now they say that I need to pay adult published fail + penalty for changing the tickets.
Advise: If you can: Be careful when you talk to BA reps.
I used the BA website to book fights for a family holiday to Spain. I logged in with my executive account and selected the option to pay by part air miles and cash. After selecting the flights I was asked to purchase additional air miles to complete the booking - which I did - these cost 150.00 GBP. However, after purchasing the air miles I was then asked for another 500.00 GBP! I then tried booking without air miles and it was 200.00 GBP cheaper.

I called BA for a refund and they have point blank refused to refund me saying that they do not recommend booking flights during the school holiday period and I should have known. I also think the whole air miles business should be investigated as you can never get flights for the dates you want when using them and the flights are usually more expensive when paying with air miles and cash. It is a big scandal.
I flew with my wife from Calcutta to London Heathrow.

We were delayed for more than 4 hours in CCU, not because of the airport's lack of infrastructure but because of BA's poor check in systems. Passengers on an Emirates flight leaving at the same time had no such problems.
Anyway, most of the passengers on our flight missed their connecting flight and were subject to the nightmare that is Heathrow.
I complained to BA on my eventual arrival at my destination. I promptly received an automatic message with a "Case Number", following which I have not heard anything. Its been 3 months!
It has been very frustrating trying to get our luggage that has been lost. 7 of us traveled to Europe and all have received their luggage except my son. It has been almost 3 weeks. When I have tried to talk to a person, I never been able to. The numbers I have been given ring for about 20 times and then I am disconnected. I have I have e-mailed the company but have received no response. 2 Replies - Latest reply on 07/31/2007Add reply
