Ongoing Pest/Infestation Issues
Posted by on
As a resident of Lake Crest Village in Winnipeg, MB I am exhausted, disgusted, and frustrated with the ongoing infestation of crickets inside this property. This very serious issue has been worsening for years with, in my opinion, minimal response from the owners/property management. As I see new for-sale signs popping up for this property this spring 2009, I am appalled at the idea of prospective home buyers buying into this property without being aware of the serious infestation issues here. If anyone is interested in learning more about this property and it's infestation issues please contact me.

I feel it's the least I can do for those looking to purchase a new home. A home should bring you comfort and joy, you will probably not find either with Lake Crest Village at this time.

Crickets are good luck.

Infestations of crickets are usually a seasonal problem. Dunno how bad your problem is (are they in the socks and cereal) but it should work itself out.

I hate that annoying chirping sound they make, especially when I'm trying to sleep!

I loove that sound but I like the sound of trains when I'm sleeping too!

I like a good thunderstorm when I'm sleeping. I have bought so many thunderstorm cd's and I keep losing them.

I love rain when I sleep too. My brother gave me one of those noise machines with a creek sound and crashing waves, etc.. It sounded awful and I regifted it to Goodwill. I grew up around the sound of trains at night and that's the most soothing sound in the world to me.

Boki, you'll love my house, we have an active freight line that goes behind our house! Some of the coal trains take at least 20 minutes to get past the house! Nothing compared to the sound of fighter jets and radar planes going over your apartment. Personally I prefer thunderstorms. I can't tell you how many tornado warnings I've slept through because of the sound of the rain and thunder.

Poster, where I live, no matter how clean your house is, we get a yearly ant/spider infestation. You can clean all you want, but it's not going to stop the little buggers from coming in during the rainy season.

There is a product made for cricket infestations called INTICE granular cricket bait... suggest that to your landlord to use it around the perimeter of the building...
these types of products are very effective...there are other products of a similar nature on the market..

Princi, I would love hearing that freight train at night... I used to love thunderstorms more, now a nice gentle rain will do. After a couple of trees hit the car and the house I've gotten skiddish.

Yea, that will do it to you! :) Usually I know it's bad if I get a really bad headache. If I wake up with a headache I know that a bad storm is coming and I need to stay awake. I react weird to pressure changes.

The trains aren't bad, I hardly notice them anymore, well unless they blow their horn at 3 in the morning or slam on the brakes.
