I purchased a $300+ pot set thinking it would last me "forever." When I tried to use the larger stock pot, I found out the lid did not fit the pot. I contacted Calphalon and they told me to send the pot back (at my expense) but keep the lid. I explained the problem WAS the lid, but that was all they told me. I asked if I'd be reimbursed for the postage since the product was faulty and was told that I would not be reimbursed.
Basically I now have a pretty useless pot in my set (it would be great for soups or corn on the cob or chili - but not without a lid!)set and would steer anyone that I could away from paying the premium price for a company that doesn't stand behind its product.
I ended up contacting the BBB, but have not heard anything from them (the BBB). All I wanted was a replacement pot and/or lid. All I got was expensive phone bills (I live overseas) and no results.
