LAKEWOOD, NEW JERSEY -- My husband and I had been looking for a new RV for our seasonal resort in the Pine Barrens in NJ. We had been to quite a few dealerships including Camping World where we found a Dutchmen trailer we liked but weren't 100% on. The salesman told us if we left $100 deposit, they would hold the camper and if we changed our minds they would refund the money. We did change our minds and we have been lied to for well over a year now. First they told us the credit would be seen on our credit card statement within 2 months.
After three months, I called and they told us it didn't go through for some reason but it wasn't their fault of course, so we drove back down to the store and decided to use the credit in their supply store. (We had purchased a camper elsewhere.) When we went to check out, we were told the credit "just went through" so we had to pay. What a coincidence huh? Of course, it was a lie. Another month or so passed and we again called at which time we were told we had to drive down there and show them our card again because our credit card company wouldn't accept the credit.
I called the credit card co and they said that was not true. My husband drove back down there last month and was promised a phone call the next day, but that never happened. I just filed a complaint with the BBB. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They are liars and thieves. Especially the salesman **!!! By the way, we had a great experience purchasing from Whitehorse RV in NJ. Good luck campers!
