TUCSON, ARIZONA -- This particular office is so incompetent it's not even funny. The doctors there killed my sister who was 41. (This is not fact but my opinion and belief.) My mother went to go see her Dr today and at the end of her appointment she was given a prescription for an increase in medication. She looked at the prescription and told the Dr that the name on the scrip was not her. (There are 2 patients in that office with the same last name.) The dr looked at her in shock. So he went and got the proper chart and wrote the correct prescription, so she thought.

She later got a call from the office stating the dr wanted to speak to her. The dr then gets on the phone and tells her that he wrote her the wrong prescription and will call it into the pharmacy. I highly recommend anyone to stay away from Caremore. In this town it's referred to as care less.

Horrible Health Care Plan

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- Caremore is the worst healthcare plan I've ever been on. I'm on the Medicare supplement program and it is truly terrible and totally misrepresented. The doctors are incompetent and will not refill prescriptions. I have switched primary doctors so far so many times it's making me sick... literally. I'm a basket case from dealing with these people. Their operators are either rude or give the wrong information. The care is unacceptable, totally.

The sales people are slick and promise you anything and what you actually get is nothing, not even an exercise benefit. Medicare should really look into these people as well as the fair trade commission, as it is grossly misrepresented. It's Medicare fraud.

Benefits Badly Degraded in the Last Five Years Due to Anthem Blue Cross Management

CALIFORNIA -- My elderly mother has been enrolled in Care More for about 6 or 7 years. She had a heart attack about five years ago, and the care we got for her was very good. She went to contracted hospitals and also had excellent after-hospital care, and due to her benefits, made a very good recovery. Last month, my mother had to go to the hospital again and spent some weeks in a skilled nursing facility, but this time around, it was a very different experience.

Anthem Blue Cross is now managing Care More, and the benefits have severely degraded. Some after hospital care doesn't even kick in now until 7 to 10 business days after the patient comes home, and you can't use your benefits as you need them, but only as the company parses them out. They were supposed to provide blood pressure machines and other equipment, but have effectively found ways to not provide them. If you are considering a Medicare Advantage Plan, do not go with Care More. They have now been absorbed into Anthem Blue Cross and do not deliver on their care for the patient. I've spent countless hours on the phone trying to find solutions for the benefits Care More was supposed to provide.

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- Several issues with my neck. Carotid Sinus Hypersensitivity and nerve damage. Described symptoms with PCP and PA. Muscle relaxants prescribed. No help. 18 months later I insisted on seeing specialist. Vascular Surgeon for CSH. PCP secured authorizations for Vascular Surgeon and Neurosurgeon. Traveled 1000 miles to make my appointment only to learn Neurosurgeon authorization had been rescinded and Vascular Surgeon gave me the bums rush, not listening to anything I said. A sonogram was administered, and I was told everything was fine. Everything is not fine. Carotid Sinus Hypersensitivity is a serious condition.

CareMore suggested I go to their company Physical Therapist and pain doctor. I went to their PT for a shoulder problem early in my Caremore experience. Total waste of time. More of a social club than a place of healing. No way I would let these amateurs touch my neck with two serious undiagnosed conditions. Don't waste your time with this two-bit clip joint.

Very Poor Healthcare For Seniors

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- My problem started at CVS Pharmacy. I had four refills remaining on my ** but they said they could not fill the prescription because my doctor's office had a problem. My doctor had retired. I asked for an appointment to see another doctor. I did get an appointment, not with a doctor but a NP. I did go for the appointment but was denied the visit. I was not allowed to see the NP, or whatever they are called, since my new doctor was not located at the CareMore in the Mountain View Medical Building. He is located in Henderson!!

At this time, I had now been four days since I had my sleeping pills. Without the sleeping pills, I do not sleep very much. I have a back disc problem which causes pain down my left leg. It is only 3-4 on the pain level, but it does keep me from falling asleep. My wife was away, so I did not attempt to go the Henderson office. Now it is two weeks without much sleep, so I am a zombie thanks to Caremore and CVS. I will be leaving Caremore on Dec 6. Do not sign up with this Medicare Provider!!

HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA -- This insurance and the providers are absolutely ridiculous. The Hesperia Caremore Careless Center staff are rude and a bunch of liars. I have had more than one run in with a nurse practitioner. She is totally unprofessional, rude and nasty. I am so glad it's open. I am switching insurance so I don't have to deal with unprofessional liars. This situation has caused me to file a complaint with the medical board.

Caremore representative, if you read this, please don't bother to reply. I've heard it all before and frankly speaking I don't want to read about it either. Get your staff under control and maybe you wouldn't have such bad reviews. If I knew how to file a complaint against Caremore I would. But until I find out I will settle for the medical board. Wellness is not your top priority, neither is their well being.

CALIFORNIA -- My elderly mother has CareMore and it is the worst. They forced her out of the hospital when she was very sick and it was obvious that the medical staff did not think it was a good idea for her to leave. We were told by more than one person on the staff that CareMore likes to move their people out quickly. They transferred her to a horrible "convalescent hospital" that was so bad my sister and I got her out of there immediately, took her back to the hospital, and demanded that she be re/admitted.

The doctor assigned to her case was a complete stranger because in the CareMore system your PCP does not take care of you once you are hospitalized. So she had a Doctor who not only a stranger but also a total jerk managing her case. At one point he actually said to my mom, "You need to just go home and let your family take care of you." His main job seemed to be getting people out of the hospital ASAP. I could go on but you get the point. The most damning comment about CareMore came from a friend who is a very high level hospital administrator and also a physician. He said, "You need to get your mom out of CareMore ASAP." Nuff said.

Not a Single Complaint

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- I have had Caremore as my health insurance for a few years. I have had many health issues and everyone of them have been attended to in a very timely manner. Caremore has called me when I was due for med refills, yearly exams, preventative appts., and follow up phone calls. I have gotten prescription coverage authorized and doctors that were not in network. When my son in law took his life I was having a breakdown.

A case manager called me and stayed on the phone with me for over 2 hours while she was stuck in traffic. She told me where to go for help. Caremore also has specialists in their Tucson office so I was able to see dermatologist, rheumatologist, psychiatrist, and get my mammogram there. Someone always got back to me within a day if I called. I think switching to Caremore was a great move for me. I cannot think of a single problem I have had.

Greatest Insurance I Have Ever Had.

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- I had a bad year with my left foot. I have Osteomyolitis. Last summer I had 7 operations on the same foot with little improvement. On 11/01/17, I moved to CareMore for medical treatment of my foot. My previous doctors wanted to amputate my foot. I refused. Instead, CareMore treated it with excellent wound care nurses and medications. It is now April, 2018, and not only have I not lost my foot but I am back walking again! They saved my foot and my life.

Then today, I received a letter from CareMore stating that my insulin would continue to be covered at the $0 copay for the rest of the year because of the "Donut Hole"- a Medicare Coverage gap. I don't know of any other insurance company doing this. I sincerely hope you have started a trend that other insurance companies will have to live up to. God Bless you CareMore for saving my foot, my life and now my insulin. If you are looking for a great insurance plan with Medicare, CareMore is the one!

Worst Experience With Doctors Ever.

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- I made the mistake of joining this Medicare Advantage after moving from Michigan to Tucson. I took the advice of a co-worker who loved CareMore... big mistake. My primary never looked at a file, just jotted down notes on a legal pad. Had no idea what meds I was on or what my issues were from a previous visit. I requested another Dr. and ended up with a young OBGYN... I am 70 yrs. old. REALLY???

Took me 6 mos. To get a capable Ortho Dr. to help me with a stress fracture of my knee. Sent a written complaint to their headquarters and their response from the Dr. Was a complete lie. Their specialty Breathe group couldn't figure out if I had COPD or Asthma... wrong meds made my breathing even worse. This has been a year from Hell. If you value your health... do NOT enroll with CareMore! They are a nightmare!
