Poor Customer Service and Nasty Hot Restaurant

Went to a restaurant in Anderson South Carolina called Church's Chicken on Shockley Ferry Road. When we walked in, we were left standing with another staffs back turned who never acknowledged us for about a good fifth-teen minutes. No-one would take our order and when they did we waited for another thirty minutes before we got two sandwiches and a two piece meal. The shift manager waited on us didn't offer us anything for our wait or say she was sorry. She just gave us our food like nothing was wrong. One staff stood there and ate food. The appearance of the place was nasty and the grease the food was cooked in hadn't been changed.

Poor Service/Poor Quality

On Sunday July 10, 2011 I pulled in the Church's Chicken drive through. After being in line for about 5 minutes, the car in front of me pulled off. Next, I continued to wait for approximately another 5-8 minutes when I was then asked to come inside. Upon entering, I was asked if I had placed my order and I then stated that I had been in line in the drive through. All I got was a quick "sorry for the wait." There was a mix up on getting a larger size and pricing. My strawberry lemonade drink had not 1 drop of ice in it, and there was a mix up on the size of the large.

The cashier stated that she had been out for 2 weeks and had just come back and was new to the new sizing. There was no customer service, or courtesy offered for all of the inconsistencies and inconveniences. I have never been so shocked as well as ill treated. I frequent the chain at least 1-2 times weekly. The store located in Greensboro, NC on Randleman Rd. is great and this store definitely needs to take some lessons from them.

Store Manager Not Helping to Get the Line Down

JONESBORO, GEORGIA -- I was in line in the lobby. It was a long line and it was only one person on front counter. It's my neighborhood store so I know who the manager is. She is always outside smoking. The line was long because the cook wasn't told to drop any more chicken because the store manager was outside. Then as I'm in line, she comes in yelling cause there wasn't any chicken and people had to wait for it to be cooked.

So that tells you about how long store manager was outside then when she comes in, I never saw her wash her hands. She constantly coughs and don't even cover her mouth. I guess she feels she don't have to because she is the store manager. While you're in line for so long, you tend to notice things that you wouldn't normally notice.

Bad Customer Service

MOULTRIE, GEORGIA -- First, let me say I prefer Churches Chicken even though we have other chicken businesses to choose from. This morning I waited until 10:06 to go through the drive-in. As I was sitting waiting on someone to take my order, an employee got out of her car and walked in front of my car giving me a not so welcoming look.

She went in the front door and got on the microphone telling me it would be another 10 minutes before they would open. I said I thought they opened at 10 and she said they did but they had to wait for things to "warm up" whatever that means. This is the second time they were late opening. I think someone needs to check into this before more customers decide to use another chicken business.

Unhappy Customer Where is good customer service

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- On December 26, 2010 I went to location in Indianapolis Lafayette Rd. I went through the Drive Thru. I placed my order a 2 PC white all breast meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. When I got to the window something told me to check your order so I did. My coleslaw wasn't there. The gentle man told me that the 2PC meal doesn't come with 2 side orders. Which I already knew it only came with 1 side order. But I stated I wanted coleslaw as well.

Instead of listening to your customer don't assume I wouldn't pay for an additional side order. I just requested my money back because I really wasn't feeling like that. Good customer service is so hard to find at this location. I would never go to this location again. The manager on duty never asked what was wrong. No nothing. So now I'm going to call this location manager to see what resolution they will give me.

DENVER, CO, COLORADO -- I dined in restaurant # 7082 5/7/10 at 13:23. I ordered 2 wings, okra a biscuit and water. I ate my first wing, even though I did not finish it. I then ate my second wing which was not cooked all the way. It was red and not done. I then proceeded to the front counter to tell the guy who took my order that it was not done and requested a chicken leg. The lady (manager Gabriela) asked in Spanish "por que", and my order taker responded in Spanish to her.

She then rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look and mumbled under her breath, went to the fry area and told the fry person, in Spanish that I complained, all the while eating. I normally do not dine in but I will not be going back to this location as I do not live or work in the area. I was there doing work for school. Your workers need to be aware that others races may know the language, as I do because I work in a restaurant myself and have acquired some languages outside of my own. Plus I could have been your secret shop. Thank you. Sincerely.

GARALND, TEXAS -- I decided I would go to Church's Fried Chicken on Broadway Blvd. yesterday after church. It is store number #1564. When I pulled into the drive through and was waiting to order after about 5 minutes of sitting there this lady asked if she could take my order. In the middle of ordering she asked me to hold on. I said okay. So I sat there for about 5 minutes and in the meantime another car pulled in behind me.

I sat there about another 5 minutes (I didn't want to go anywhere else because my family wanted chicken for lunch. The lady behind me screamed to me, "Is the drive through working?", so I answered "yes". She told me to hold on a minute. So the lady answered "well, that sure is a long minute!"

So, I decided to say something to the order microphone. I said, "Hello!" The lady came back on and said "Just a minute, we are short handed today!" So I said "Okay ma'am." Finally after about 15 minutes sitting at the drive through she took my order and I pulled up to the window. When I pulled up, the lady looked at me and said, "Wait a minute, I've got to fix this lady's order." I didn't know if she had put my order in wrong or someone else's order in wrong. Then she said, "Pull up and I will bring your order out to you." I said "okay", so I pulled up and turned my vehicle around facing the building.

I looked at the ticket and she had placed my order wrong (order # **). I had asked for the mixed special with just potatoes. She put in all dark meat as my order. I decided since it was taking so much time, and I was very hungry and my family was waiting that I would just take that and go hopefully. As I sat there, 3 or four cars came and went with their orders filled, and 2 people had gone through the window with their orders filled. By then, I had had enough. So I went to the window after waiting behind two more people and asked for my money back. The cashier at the window, whose name was **, asked me if there was a problem.

So I said "yes", and pointed to the lady (I didn't get her name), who looked like she had eaten my chicken, and said "She told me to pull up and she would bring my order out." I had been there 45 minutes by then. ** looked at the woman, and asked her what the problem was, and she said "Oh, I just forgot about her!" By then, I was very upset. To think I had sat out there, and to boot, she had totally forgotten about me! Church's Fried Chicken just lost a good customer.

** who was a very nice young man, showed me where he had subtracted my order out of the system, because I had paid with my debit card. It is midday and I am still waiting to see if my account shows where they refunded my money. It has not been put back in my account yet. We love chicken, but I know one thing, Church's will not be getting my hard earned money anymore!

FARMINGTON, NEW MEXICO -- On Jan 24, 2014 around 15:37 I drove 80 miles to Farmington, N.M. and decided to eat at many choices, but I choose Church's Chicken, but the meal was not appealing. The chicken was not fresh, FF was COLD and Jalapeno was soggy. My order # is **. I immediately asked the cashier (**) and she indicated "Sorry - that what we have" and closed the window. I was not satisfied with customer services and the meal.

Church's Chicken Long Waits & Bad Service on Tuesday's

TELEPHONE AND BELLFORT, TEXAS -- I was told there was a 15 minute wait on chicken. After 25 minutes I was still waiting on my order. After pointing out this fact to the employees they got an attitude like so what. The female manager showed no concern about I was saying, but as I was leaving I seen that same manager taking two boxes of chicken out to her families car.

Place Was Dirty and They Had No Chicken Ready

KIRBY, TEXAS -- We went to get chicken for dinner and they had no chicken ready, they were out of chicken. The girl said they had to do the drive through first and my wait was 30 minutes. We went to another one on Rittiman Road in San Antonio, TX. The same thing happened - they were out of CHICKEN, we had to wait 15 minutes. I was very disappointed with Church's. That will be the last time will go there. Also they were out of sodas. Can you imagine that.
