NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA -- Manager G. & sales Rep I.R. in N. Miami Beach are Liars and will lie some more to cover their lies. Lied about product features, lied about picking up furniture, lied about return policy. Delivery personnel was asked not to drop off furniture but they left furniture anyway. Worst furniture store I have ever encountered. Also worst shopping experience of my life.

TAMARAC, FLORIDA -- HORRIBLE! I purchased a very expensive table, 8 chairs and a buffet from this company. The first table had been dropped on its end. They wouldn't replace it at first and had a company come out and "repair" it. Finally after many calls, they replaced the table. Within a couple of months the second table starting cracking on the top surface. They refuse to do anything about this. I spent over $3,500 on this set and they don't stand behind their products. NEVER will I purchase from City Furniture again!

Terrible Customer Service and Sales Tactics
By -

6701 N HIATUS ROAD, FLORIDA -- We went to City Furniture on Aug 28, 2010. We were interested in the Drake Bedroom Set. We spoke with Mr. ** who was our Sales Rep. We were very specific that we wanted the same color of the bedroom set that was on the floor display. It was a light brown color set. When the furniture arrived the Delivery People were very nice. Not only did we receive the wrong color bedroom set (it was very dark brown) but City Furniture warehouse set the wrong bed-rails. We had to wait 6 hours for them to deliver the bedroom set. And then they were still 15 min late after we waited.

We never received a call from the delivery drivers, a call that was supposed to be several hours ahead of delivery that day. We had to call City Furniture ourselves to see what is happening to our delivery. When they finally arrived and told us that they had the wrong bed-rails they said that they would have to contact the company to see if they have the correct bed-rails and when they could be delivered. Now we had to pay $100 for delivery that was late and that did not contain the correct bed-rails. So our wrong color bedroom set could not be set up that night.

Being very upset, we contacted the customer service and also the sales representative The Sales Rep never returned our call that night. Customer service stated that they would see if they have the rails and contact us. The next day, we never got contacted from City Furniture's customer service. We call them at 10 am and spoke with someone name **. He was very mean and nasty and had a bad attitude. He stated that we should have never signed for the bedroom set and that now we have to keep it or pay an additional $169 for pick up and restocking. He did not care if the color was wrong.

He stated that it's the lighting at City Furniture that distorts the correct color of the bedroom sets. We were not aware of this. This should have been told to us in the beginning. With so many businesses suffering from a lack of sales, we thought that City Furniture would work hard to satisfy their customers to retain them. ** from customer service did not care to hear what we had to say and would not help to take care of the matter. I will let as many people know about how we were treated at City Furniture and that they should think twice before they buy from them. Their customer service is terrible and they should improve on their delivery and set up policies.

If the furniture arrives and after set up, there is a major problem, especially after they made a mistake. They should work hard to retain the customer and see if they can simply pick up the furniture and deliver something else that the customer wants better.

I will also report this to the Better Business Bureau. Everyone should know that City Furniture does not care about this customer and should be avoided. Their customer service is not good at all and their sales tactics are very shady. We wanted to buy other pieces of furniture before this terrible problem happen. We know a lot of people in the area that come by and we will make sure that they know how bad the service is at City Furniture.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- They say they have a year warranty. It's all a lie. My sofa broke The back that supposed to hold the sofa together the metal piece broke and one of my recliners the pull cords snapped! They know how to play their games because the guy that came out said that it was Abused. How is a pull cord abused when it's supposed to be pulled to open the recliner!! I would never buy another piece of furniture at City Furniture. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told there is no manager!!!

WELLINGTON, FLORIDA -- City Furniture company, is the worst company I ever deal with. I spent over $3000. They delivered a broken living room center table, and refused to exchange or refund the money. What a way to do business!!! Just take the money and refused to take responsibility for their mistakes. City Furniture behaves like a city GANGSTER. Wow, never ever do business with City Furniture.

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- I bought 3 furniture sets. Living room, dining room and bedroom. 2 out of 3 came damage. I called customer service. The lady, by the way a supervisor called Tavia was rough and not professional. She laughed at me during our conversation. Wow! She told me this and I quote: “the only way we can help you is if you bring by yourself the damage furniture to Tamarack and take the new one”. Can you believe? Who should be laughing at? Never buy at City Furniture! Trust me!

KAMLOOPS -- Electrolux range CEW30EF6GS. The inside finish cracked during first self cleaning and after second time is lifting off. Love the stove, but this should not be happening and am getting no help from City Furniture where we purchased it plus the extended warranty. Warranty is running out so I think they are putting me off.

The "head" of customer services does not even call you back. She's too GOOD to talk to clients.... Still waiting after they took my money for them to deliver a clean couch on time. 4 weeks 3 LATE deliverers (one of them at 1:12 am) and yet still not right.

City Furniture Worst Purchase Experience Ever

Rating: 1/51

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- City Furniture worst purchase experience ever. On April 4, 2014 I purchased a sofa at City Furniture in North Miami Beach, I scheduled to pick from its warehouse in Tamarac. The following day when I was about to leave my apartment, I called the warehouse. I asked if I could pay to have the sofa delivered to parents' house, instead of my apt and me picking up. The warehouse said that I would have to call my city representative that sold me the sofa for him to arrange it. I called my City Furniture representative who sold me the sofa.

He explained to have the new address inserted in the system he would have to re-do the invoice with the new delivery address. And in the time that he redo a new invoice I could lose the sofa because the sofa would be in the system for another store to sell it. I said that's impossible that someone will be buying this sofa in the next two seconds. And what kind of old system software that you can add a new delivery address after a customer has paid in full.

Nonetheless, I lost the sofa because there was a waiting list. A waiting list that the representative never mentioned. Because if there is a waiting list automatically when you void an invoice it goes to the first person in the waiting list. I would have never taken the chance in losing the sofa if there was a waiting list.

This is unbelievable. I paid for the sofa, the sofa was reserved for me at the warehouse. Because of an old software and a representative that can't inform the customer that you will lose the sofa for a waiting list I end up losing the sofa that I already paid for. How about welcoming City Furniture to the 21st Century. This is not acceptable. They resold what I already had paid for.
