ESTERO, FLORIDA -- Worst experience ever. Bedroom set had used q-tip in it. Scratches all over it. Kitchen table was sent back twice. Delivery personnel were rude and rough. Please purchase elsewhere!!!!! If you must check everything very carefully with a bright light. If you do not own one, then please purchase one from Home Depot/Lowes. It will be worth it.
Do not hesitate to send furniture back. You are the consumer and you are buying new furniture; therefore, it SHOULD BE NEW!!!! Shop somewhere else!!! Shop somewhere else!!!!! Shop somewhere else!!!!!
I bought a bed at City Furniture and one week later it was broken. Called customer service and they were very rude. It is not normal that a bed is broken just one week later.....I want to return the bed as even if it gets repaired it will have the same problem again. The way the beds are built is not good.... All advertisement say "same day delivery - seven days a week". I was surprised when we purchased furniture and they indicated a two week delivery. Now they called and postponed for an additional three weeks. Based on all the reviews it appears we may never get our furniture! Very disappointed to date. Stay tuned... Add reply
MIAMI, FLORIDA -- After 4 months of having the sectional it fell apart in two different areas. The spring broke in one of the seats and the chase split into two. I have no children and a 7 pound dog, its not like there is any one jumping on my furniture!! This couch was supposed to last me for years. Customer Service does not care!!! I have spoke to them several times and they just sent a service man to fix the spring. While the sectional was taken apart I got a chance to see the quality of the furniture from underneath, NO WONDER!!! They put the wood together with the cheapest wood they could find and stapled the wood together!! HORRIBLE QUALITY!!! DO NOT BUY THIS FURNITURE!! IT WILL FALL APART!!Add reply
PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA -- We purchased a bedroom set for $2500 and within 1 month it broke.
The lip or siderail of the bed and one of the legs is broken. They sent
A tech that we paid $45 and he wanted the money upfront without doing any work.
The tech determined that the bed broke because it was not set up correctly by the
Delivery guys and that he needed new pieces to fix the bed. They charge an extra fee
Of $60 to fix it even though its not our fault it wasn't set up correct. This is the truth.
Dave yourself the trouble. These people don't care about their customers, customer
Service is awful!
Liars and Bad Customer Service

SAWGRASS MILLS, FLORIDA -- I bought a bed from Ashley/City Furniture and to sell the product they were willing to deliver the next day and convinced me that I should buy a three year warranty in case anything happened my bed would be replaced immediately. Less than 2 week later the mattress fell because the base was not installed properly. Angie the sales lady said I had to deal directly with customer service and was not helpful and it has been 9 days and the problem is still not solved. The customer service representative whose name is Robert (he is not allowed to give his last name) was absolutely rude and almost disrespectful. They write a contract were the product can not be return but they make the whole experience terrible. I would never buy anything from City Furniture again and will tell everybody I know they should go anywhere else. In Florida we have many choices and any other would be better.Add reply
FLORIDA -- I purchased a leather sofa for my home in Florida. I also purchased the 3 year warranty. I was told this would cover any problem we had. The seat on the couch caved in after 4 months of use. A service person came and took pictures and did not sit on the couch. The service person told me up front that the company would not stand by the warranty. I was told that they would do nothing for me because this was due to wear. I've owned many couches and the seats never caved in. Imagine a $1000 couch is only expected to last 4 months! 1 Replies - Latest reply on 04/24/2012Add reply
TAMARAC, FLORIDA -- We bought a house in DelRay Beach Fl in 2004. We furnished it mostly out of City Furniture. We bought a Kevin Charles Sofa and Love seat as well as an oversized Ottoman. The furniture clean great and has served us well now for coming up on 8 years. No Problems what so ever. I'd buy the same brand again in a heart beat but now live in Austin Tx. where I can't find Kevin Charles anywhere.

Hi. Seven months ago I got a new bedroom set in City Furniture. I noticed that the furniture was cracking three months ago. I called City Furniture Custormer Service and they told me I have to pay $45 for someone to come and fix it. I would like to know why they would be charging me because I paid $4000 for only three pieces and it's not my fault that it is cracking. This is not supposed to happen when they are telling me it's so good furniture.
MIAMI, FLORIDA -- Bought several pieces for several rooms from them in October 2010. It's April 2011 and I am still dealing with trying to get it right. The delivery truck is not theirs.. They hire out a service that delivers many other stores' stuff at the same time. They overbook them by about 8 customers every single day. On my delivery day, the driver calls my cell at 6:45 AM and says they will deliver by noon. I take off from work to wait for them. By 2:00PM, I call and they say they are on their way. At 5:00, after missing a whole day's work, they say they are on their way. My building doesn't allow deliveries after 5:00. They show up at almost 9:00 at night and tell me if they can't get in, I won't get another delivery until the following week. I have to go downstairs and give the security guy $30 to let them in to deliver. This, after paying the store well over $150 to deliver. None of the delivery is correct. Pieces are damaged. They take it back. Customer service says they will mail me a $75 credit certificate for all my trouble --- to buy something else in the store. It never came. Now they say, it has expired. BUT I NEVER GOT IT I tell them. Track it - you will see it has never been used. Almost six months, I still don't have everything from my order. They have not replaced the damaged merchandise. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC SERVICE !!!! Wish they had negative stars for this one...1 Replies - Latest reply on 04/15/2011Add reply

TAMARAC, FLORIDA -- I purchased a leather recliner as a Christmas present for my husband at City Furniture in Tamarac, Florida. My brother picked up the chair for me on December 24, 2010. He did not unwrap the chair because he was assured by a representative in the warehouse that if the chair had any problems it could be returned and exchanged for a new one-no questions asked. When we opened the the chair that evening to surprise my husband with it when he arrived home, we found that the chair was broken. It does not sit evenly on the floor which causes it to wobble. We can't use the chair. I have called them 4 times and each time was assured that a repair person would call.
Needless to say I am thoroughly disgusted. I feel that City Furniture should just give me a new chair. What a Christmas gift huh? City Furniture has extremely poor customer service.
First & last purchase with this company. Before you make the same mistake make sure you fully understand that ALL SALES ARE FINAL! No sales person will tell you this- they are driven by the all-mighty commission.
I purchased a $2000+ sofa and love seat, added an end table and cocktail table. Delivered the next day at 10pm. After delivery men left figured out tables were too big and not exactly what I wanted. Called the next day to see if I could return them. Once delivered they could not be returned without replacing them with other merchandise and a $100 fee within 48 hours.
This company obviously does not care about building relationships. I will rejoice the day I see them go out of business. Shameful practice, disgraceful service.
PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA -- I am BEYOND upset right now with the service of City Furniture. I have been a valued customer with them for years and just this year alone I spent over ten thousand dollars in furniture and was ASSURED that when purchasing there warranty my daughters furniture would be completely covered if something was to happen to it such as the paint peeling of and other things. Well guess what? The ONLY thing they said they could fix was a draw handle!! Can you believe this! They used the cheapest material and paint on there furniture and now they are not willing to fix nor replace it!!!

Terrible Customer Service and Sales Tactics
6701 N HIATUS ROAD, FLORIDA -- We went to City Furniture on Aug 28, 2010. We were interested in the Drake Bedroom Set. We spoke with Mr. Andrew Wedderburn who was our Sales Rep. We were very specific that we wanted the same color of ... read full review
WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA -- I purchased a City Furniture wall unit on March 1st 2010, and when I purchased this unit I also purchased a bridge to go with it. When we were buying this bridge we were debating buying it as it had 3 shelves that hung down and we thought would get in the way of the TV we were purchasing.
The sales person said you can always buy it and then return it if the TV does not fit the unit. So we purchased thinking we would be able to return once we had the TV delivered.
Tv was delivered 3 days after the wall unit, and wouldn't you know, the bridge got in the way of the TV.
When I called customer service, they said that there is nothing that they can do and that if you don't want something on the delivery you must return it with the driver.
Although when we purchased this unit, the sales person said otherwise, they did not accept the return of the bridge even after numerous phone calls into management explaining the conversation we had with the sales person.
Buyers, I would not recommend City Furniture as their customer service is, in my opinion, one of the worst in the business.
