GREENEVILLE, TENNESSEE -- We're just another case where Comcast has not only refused to cancel service without multiple calls but are holding 4 months of over payments under the ruse that we owe $40 missing equipment....which it was their technician that "as advertised when you move" rehooked us up and took all the old equipment claiming it was defective and had to be replaced.
Well people, there's no hope out here...Comcast just continues to be allowed to "STEAL" customers money and nobody stops them. There has to be a way to stop Comcast's bad and illegal business practices. Were cancelling all our service but there has to be some way to get someone powerful to indict the top management for this recurring theft.
KODAK, TENNESSEE -- I've had Internet with Comcast for 4 months never been late on payments or anything. A girl called me from Comcast and said I could get TV and internet for $10 more so I agreed. So she said they would send me the box and I was to hook it up. I couldn't get it to work, so I called and the man on the phone told me he'd send someone out and if it was the box it would be a free house call.
The guy came out it was the box so he switched it for a smaller black box. I got my bill and they charged me for the guy coming out and a $50 deposit plus $39.99 and other fee's my bill was $157 dollars. It says 30 days if your not happy you can go back to what you had before. So, I called and they transfered me to 5 different people that I have to tell the same stuff. The girl told me I can go back to what I had, but I would still have to pay for the guy coming out and the $50 deposit fee that they added on so my bill would still be $147 dollars. I just told them to turn everything off so my bill will be at least under $100 so stupid!!! I wish I never agreed to add something that I was lied to about now I am going to lose my Internet too.:-( :-( :-(
COLORADO -- OK, I'm beginning to think that there is no such thing as a reputable cable/satellite television company. Comcast:
1) hires 'customer service' people who really don't care about you and give you false information.
2) makes promises and then renegs on them.
3) drags their feet at any kind of resolution.
4) Lies/misrepresents themselves some more.
This company is NOT worth doing business with! They will screw you over, trust me on this! These crooks don't even deserve a 1 star - more like -1 star.
DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A TRUSTWORTHY TELEVISION PROVIDER?? Or will I have to go to Hulu and be a season behind?

IRWIN, PENNSYLVANIA -- Trying to change to new triple play with HD salespeople told me no technician was needed, they would send equipment via UPS and will receive it in 3 to 5 days on 1/23. On 2/01, I called to find out where the customer service representative said at UPS processing center somewhere in PA, not Pittsburgh. It should have been no later then Tuesday.
I Called Wednesday evening and was told nothing had been shipped. The representative checked and said they had what was needed in Greensburg. I told her have them hold them and I'll pick it up on Saturday.
I went on Saturday morning, waited 45 minutes to be waited on and was told the equipment wasn't available. They haven't had any for 2 weeks also, I would need a tech at $50.00 charge to hook it up. That was not what i was told on 1/23.
I now have to wait 3 to 5 days for equipment and still not have complete service. Someone needs to tell their sales reps 1) make sure what is needed for service is accurate 2) make sure equipment is at the office they send the customer too.
This is the worst service I've had 3 weeks 3 hours of my time and still not right.

FRANKLINVILLE, NEW JERSEY -- I moved in in May. Comcast is the only service in my area. I was with Direct TV for 7 years and never had problem like Comcast has given me!!!! Since May there's been a TV if not both with something going wrong. From no DVR to no channels to now our internet kicking you off every other hour and so much more. Then when you call they put you on hold for ever.
I pay close to $200 a month and this is the service I'm stuck with. I even had a employee argue with me over them being the best!!! Comcast is a joke and they don't care about there customers or the service as long as they get paid!!!
WATERFORD, MICHIGAN -- This has to be the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They have gotten nothing right about our service in the year that we have had them. Their customer service is deplorable. You call, wait on hold for over an hour and when you finally get through the nightmare of being passed between customer service representatives and "Specialists", they still don't have a damn thing right, and you have to do it all over again. I have been trying order an HD digital box since 12-1-13 and I have finally accepted the fact that I am not going to get one. I will of course be charged for it. Six, count them, six times I have made the request and each time I was told they just couldn't understand why my request had not been fulfilled. I have been told they must have used the wrong code or a variety of other excuses. I have spoken with someone in India, Mexico and the US. I realize now that the Comcast way is to tell the customer whatever lie is necessary just to get them off the phone. They always want the customer to review right after your contact with CS. They need to contact the customer days later after they realize they were lied to. I am supposed to receive my HD box today by priority mail. I WILL NOT HOLD MY BREATH!Add reply
HYATTSVILLE, MARYLAND -- I called Comcast to request a service transfer to a different city of MD. We agreed upon the date to return all of the equipment. To my big surprise the service was disconnected few days later. When I returned them they apologized and opened a new account under my name. One week later again it was disconnected. I called to complain and they fixed it. Again after few days it was discontinued. They told me that I needed to call the Collection Department. When I contacted them they asked me to provide a credit card for payment of the amount of $332.98. I requested a detailed explanation about the amount. No one in Comcast could explain, but still they want the money. Every time I talked to one of them it was a new story. Finally a CS went over the whole year payment history to conclude that I used a credit card that was declined in July 2013.
I was happy to ask at least the last four numbers of that "so called credit card" since there was not any such thing they promised to fix their mistake. However they never did despite their lack of evidence. It does affect my credit for no good reasons and they keep dropping the ball.
These people are the worse. I had a cable box break, they sent me to a location that had closed to exchange it I drove 45 min and 45 back home after discovered it was closed. How stupid can this company get? They really are one of the worse run companies I have ever used !!!! Add reply
FORT WAYNE, INDIANA -- Telephone, internet, and TV all went out. TV was fixed over the phone by resetting cable boxes. Scheduled appointment to have internet and phone looked at. Received email on iPhone (which is part of Comcast voice mail service) that because we didn't answer the phone when they called one hour before the appointment, the appointment was cancelled (remember phone was out of order). Rescheduled appointment. Wife and I sat with front door open waiting. After approximately 6 hours received another email that said appointment was cancelled because tech showed up at door and nobody was home (a complete fabrication). Eventually found out that I had to change the phone number on my account to a cell phone so they could call. 10 hours later a tech showed up and had the problem resolved in 10 minutes. Comcast needs to move their call center from off shore back to the states and train their operators that when a customer reports a phone out of order it will probable be impossible to reach them via phone.Add reply
CONCORD, CALIFORNIA -- After shutting off our internet service, no reason given, Tech support sent out a crew who replaced the cable from street to house two days later. No service with new cable. Next tech service appt is a no show and then a contractor arrives the following day, can't get service to work, calls supervisor, who calls Comcast. Third hand feedback, just call customer support and they will cancel your old service and start up new service at a higher price. I thank the young tech for his help and call Comcast to cancel service. I am now happy with AT&T.Add reply
