NEW ROCHELLE, NEW YORK -- I ordered a Beleek Clock from The Cozy Pineapple early December as a Christmas Gift for my friend. The gift never arrived although money for it plus mailing cost was taken from my credit card (bank debit card) Despite four e-mails and a telephone call left on an answering machine I was not contacted until after Christmas.

I was then promised a return of my money. I have e-mailed the site again on three occasions but have not had my money returned. They ignore my communications.

Dispute the charge with the credit card company. They will then contact the merchant.

Never ever use a debit card for an online or phone purchase. One slight mistake and your bank account could be wiped out.

Never heard of The Cozy Pineapple until I saw this letter. They have an impressive website, however I'd never order anything like a Beleek item online. I want to see it and feel it before I dish out my hard earned money! My personal preference stated does NOT negate the fact they owe you money. Run--don't walk--to the phone and call your bank to get back your money. Good luck.

Non existent customer support. When you call the 1-800 number, you get a voice message stating that there is no room on their voice message machine. I have emailed them repeatedly for my order status update with no response.

Do not do business with them please.

Cozy Pineapple is a reseller of Lenox, Waterford and other high priced items. Their track record is horrid. Usually the merchandise is never sent and refunds are impossible to get.

MLHOM, that was the only number they seem to have listed. These people are currently under investigation by the Better Business Bureau. A quick Google search will reveal that they are actively engaging in activities bordering on fraud and deception. If you make a purchase from them, they will immediately access your credit card (instead of waiting for items to ship). In many cases, merchandise is not received and customers have had to call their credit card company to cancel payment.

CONNECTICUT -- I used this company a few months ago to order some vases. After I submitted my order and gave my credit card information, I received a confirmation stating that I could cancel my order and be fully reimbursed as long as I canceled before my card was charged.

Well, it so happened that we had an unexpected expense come up the next morning, so the first thing I did was go to cancel my order that I could no longer afford to pay. I sent an e-mail to their customer service including my order confirmation number and all of my information asking that they please CANCEL my order before my card charged, and asked for a reply indicating that my e-mail was received. I also called their phone number which is 100% useless! Just a "full mail box" message. I sent another e-mail informing them of the urgency that they PLEASE CANCEL my order, and letting them know their phone wasn't working (little did I know?)

The following day I checked my e-mail anxious to hear that they canceled my order. Nothing! Day after that? NOPE! Then came an e-mail stating that my items had been shipped! Check my account, and it was charged that morning. For 2 days I followed their procedure of canceling my order which they ignored and I paid the consequence. Luckily I was able to get the funds to cover it since there was no way to cancel. My order arrived and I was happy with it, but I was furious at the company for being so unprofessional.

Well, I'm not sure why, but I gave The Cozy Pineapple another shot. I needed more vases and the deal was just "too good" to pass. Seemed that way anyway...

I placed my order, received confirmation and my order was shipped. When it was delivered this morning I opened it immediately. 1 vase was missing, 2 were broken. Called the number again - no answer surprise, surprise.

So this time I'm dealing directly with UPS for the damages, but I fear it won't end well. Will my broken vases be replaced or refunded? Will my missing vase ever show up? I'll post a follow-up should anything -good or bad- come out of this.

BUYER BEWARE! THIS COMPANY IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE!

I agree. If UPS is no help, try calling your credit card company and explaining that the items did not arrive in the promised condition, if at all, and that the company has made itself unavailable.

Many companies would cease payments and return your money. But please do not shop there again! Obviously this company is not reliable.

'...this time I'm dealing directly with UPS for the damages...' Since you haven't received resolution from UPS yet, I don't feel a complaint against Cozy Pineapple is justified. The missing vase? Yes. But the broken vases are the responsibility of UPS. I've had very good service from UPS regarding damages. In one case, the damaged goods was in better condition than when shipped by me after I filed a damage claim and it was repaired.

Billed For Merchandise Never Received - Despite Several Emails

GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT -- I ordered from this company on December 4, 2008. I ordered a hostess set and 2 45-piece sets of Godinger Calhoun silverware. The hostess set arrived. The packing slip said the silverware was on backorder. So I waited and waited. Nothing ever came. I contacted the company through email and dealt with "Tim" the Customer Service Supervisor. He gave me a tracking number and said that my items had been shipped. I told him that I received the hostess set but not the other 2 items. I told him they were on backorder and asked when I could expect them. He said he would check with the warehouse and get back with me. When he got back to me, he gave me the same exact tracking number. This is when I began to get suspicious. The whole thing didn't make sense. I felt like I was in a circular conversation. I was right back where I began.

I explained again that the items were never shipped and even according to the details under the tracking number he gave me didn't make sense. It said the weight of the items shipped was 2 pounds! I said to him that that is proof as well that my items were never shipped! Two 45-piece sets of silverware and a hostess set weighs well over 2 pounds!! Well, I continued to follow up with my order, or lack thereof, until January 28, 2009. I had finally had enough and realized that something was not quite right with this company. I too, tried calling the phone number.

No answer and mailbox full. I was not surprised at this point - just furious. I emailed him (Tim) one last time and told him that he had billed my credit card but did not deliver the items and that this was an illegal act. I told him that I would take legal action against the company and him personally if this matter was not resolved. My account was credited less than an hour later. I was worried that he didn't follow through after stumbling upon this site. I just double checked with my credit card company and the credit went through. Thank goodness! I can't believe he has done this to so many other people. Maybe threatening to take legal action will help some of you get your money back. My purchase was for about $200.00.

There was no way I was going to let that slide. I can't believe that people would do such a thing! It makes me sick! Good luck on getting your money back!

Have you read the review in this forum about Cozy Pineapple? NO ONE has ever received product! I looked at their website, and it shows beautiful products. I just wonder why they haven't been shut down for fraud yet.

I did receive 1 of the 3 things I ordered. I got lucky, I guess. I wouldn't recommend ordering from them. It was a nightmare!

This Website Should Be Shut Down

This site advertised silk trees and flowers at one price, I ordered them only to find that the prices were changed the next day and I've never received my order. The toll free number is not in service and no one responds to email, there is no means communication possible.

Why the FTC allows this site to operate is beyond me. THIS SITE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!

NEW YORK, COLORADO -- This is a horrible company. I usually read reviews online before doing business with anyone but I was in a hurry. Shame on me. This company is a scam. After reading all the reviews, not only on this site but on many others as well, I truly think they are stealing, plain and simple.

Do not do business with this "company" and, please, anyone who was a victim of The Cozy Pineapple, join me in filing complaints with the FTC, the New York Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau.

Horrible Customer Service

GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT -- I ordered a 5 pc completer set for my daughter-in-law for Christmas and paid extra for 2 day air to be sure it arrived on time. It NEVER arrived. I sent an email to customer service and they said they would check on it. After 3 weeks I tried to call and got an answering machine so I emailed again and told them I was very unhappy - no response. I had to cancel my order and find another source. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT -- We agree with other reviews that The Cozy Pineapple is an Internet scam. Processes your order including credit card information, has product manufacturer's stock numbers and so on, but does not ship product. Follow ups are futile. No answer at Customer Service number, only a recording stating that mailbox is full. Watch out; they post some very expensive items for sale. Do not buy anything from them. Unable to confirm if the listed physical address even exists since there is no response to email or telephone inquiries.

Wonder why law enforcement does not bust this company. Could be they are not actually in the USA.

It's really important that you notify your credit card company of fraud. If they log enough compalints against a company, they will eventually revoke their ability to accept credit card transactions. Of course, they'll be back with a new name, but at least you'll know you caused them grief.

The phone number is real, but the address on their web page is incorrect. Correct address is: 1117 EAST PUTNAM AVE. SUITE 385 Riverside,CT 06878. But there's more, the address is a mail drop.

Fake should be reported to federal bureau of investigations. Please notify your bank if you used this web site. They will tell you your card is not charged until sent not true. The cardis charged immediately no one returns your phone calls or answers your emails.

Yep, thecozypineapple.com is a scam site. I tried to order some Moen faucet parts and never received them. I called my credit card company and ordered a new card. If you've given them your info., I suggest you do the same.

Rip Off

CONNECTICUT -- I placed an an order in Dec. 2010 for Christmas dinnerware. They charged my credit card for what was expected to ship. I didn't receive my order and was finally told shipment was due to be delivered in June. I asked at that time for a credit and rebill as the items were shipped. They agreed but that never happened. I did receive some items sooner than June, but less than what I was charged for. I e-mailed them several times asking for a refund for the difference and finally was told yes they did owe me $200. The rest of the my order came in a little at a time through August of 2011. When the balance never arrived, I e-mailed them again and was told the items had been discontinued. They never bothered to let me know until I asked. They still have not refunded my $200.00 and my credit card company said now it is too late for them to do anything about it. The Cozy Pineapple is a horrible company so STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! Any calls you make to them go directly to voicemail and they do not return your calls. I guess I am out 200.00!!

You might try calling the Conneticut Department of Consumer Protection [(860) 713-6100] and see if they can help you and also filing a complaint at http://ftc.gov/bcp/index.shtml
However, The Cozy Pineapple has a lot of complaints across the web and I don't know if they'll be inclined to give you your money unless you file in small claims court. This company has a really lousy reputation and you're right about not doing business with them.

Terrible Customer Service

My story is like all the others. The Cozy Pineapple was less expensive than Williams and Sonoma's ladder but appeared to be exactly the same item. I waited three weeks past the time it should have been delivered and nothing arrived. I tried to call them and I heard the message, "--- the service was too full and call back later." I continued to try numerouse times with no luck. I wanted to cancel the order before it was received. When I checked the phone number, the operator state it did not exist. Now I am at the letter writing stage to cancel the order. Hope that works because I will dispute any charge through my Credit Card Company should they send this product now.

The Cozy Pineapple needs to be shut down.

Yes, do dispute the charges and do it now, before you exceed the time frame for your CC to do a charge back.
