PORTLAND, OREGON -- I had my cell phone stolen while eating in a restaurant in Portland, Oregon on 5/7/2009. I called Cricket to notify them of my stolen cell phone. I spoke with Ann at Cricket and she was very nice and helpful. She transferred me to Best Signal Insurance Co. to receive my Claim Number. I spoke with Sharon and she was very rude. She accused me of filing for a lost/stolen phone last year and that is not true. She also laughed when I told her my cell phone was stolen and asked "how was it stolen?. Very rude and treated me like a dishonest person. I am very upset with Cricket's insurance.

I do not like being treated in this manner, I have paid $5.00 a month for this insurance for almost a year and was informed that I have to pay a $50.00 deductible for a $29.99 new phone. I feel as if I have been cheated.
Nothing but scammers.
I re-activated my cricket account a few days ago hoping to port my cell phone number to cricket. Well, because I was a returning customer I had to pay my first months service up front. I then get home ... read full review10 Replies - Latest reply on 04/06/2010

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- I got the ZTE Chorus Muve music phone online from myCricket.com, I called and got the phone activated and was told the only plan available was the $45 plan even though the website states the $55 muve music plan only works for this phone. I believed him and went with the $45 plan and not only did I not have access to my music feature I ran out of minutes in 2 weeks. I called and was told that the $55 plan works for that phone so I put $55 on the phone, still no music feature and I called the automated system to check on when I had to put more money on and was told I was on the $45 plan and had $9.45 extra on my acct. I called and was told that the $55 plan isn't available in my area even though you have to put your zip code in to see available phones and plans in my area. I was told they don't offer refunds, I asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold for 35 min, I hung up, called back, was placed on hold for another 10 min, hung up and called back and finally got transferred to a supervisor and was told per terms and conditions they don't offer refunds. I am a salesperson for Cricket Wireless and I warn you to never buy a phone from them. I'm quitting my job because I can't lie to people anymore. I have no faith in these products and all they want us to tell you are lies. Do not waste your money. It's cheap but thats because you'll never get what you pay for. Take my advice and stay far far away from this company. They will scam you. 4 Replies - Latest reply on 08/06/2013Add reply

I have paid bill many times on time only to have service cut off. Today was the last straw 5/6/13. Waiting for Cricket to turn phone back on after bill was paid on time yet again. When they do will call AT&T and get good customer service like I get with my internet service through them!!!

People need to file complaints with their respective State Attorney General's offices against wireless companies who do not perform "specifically" as advertised or overcharge for services--

Don't ever stop---flood the AG's offices with paper--if the pile gets high enough--they'll put the brakes on scammers---
Verizon got tossed out of several states and can no longer operate in many states !!!
Verizon was/is not too big and Cricket is NOT too complicated to be stopped dead in their tracks by enough complaints to the AG's offices
Cricket wireless claims you get your broadband modem for free... that's a lie!! I sent my rebate in 6 months ago and still have yet to receive it!! There customer service sucks, and it takes for ever to speak to a real person-and 99% of the time your not speaking to an English speaking person...

Cricket was the new provider in town, and seemed to have it all, low rates, good coverage, decent phones...but the phone never seemed to have coverage. Roaming wasn't included in the $50 per month charges, so all my calls would go to voicemail. When I tried dialing, I would be roaming and they would want to charge me 39 cents per minute to make the call. Then their 2 month old phone a Samsung Messenger II broke and I had enough.
But to cancel I had to speak to 4 people who spoke broken English two of which were trying to keep me as a customer. They also went ahead and billed me for the next month and told me they could not refund that amount, but finally relented after taking all the information they already had and making me FAX them the information besides.
I have had phones turn obsolete before they broke with other services, and with Cricket there was no service any of the time. I am surprised it took me so long to cancel.
