Harassment calls
Posted by on
MIDDLETOWN, DELAWARE -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.

I keep receiving harssment calls from NCO looking for collection for various people. I have told them this is a business and don't know who they are looking for. Have asked them to remove my Phone# 302 378 3140 from their files but the calls keep coming. Please advise.

As a resolution, I would like the following:

Would like them notified to quit calling my business and taking up valuable time of myself and my employees.

Please contact me if you need more details regarding this incident.

You said they are calling for various people. If they kept calling for the same person, then I would understand your frustration, and the number is to be removed with the first request. However, if they are calling for different people, they can only remove the number from each one as they are called and told to remove. They can't just remove your number from all different people's account with one request. You can, however ask them to do a "phone search" and remove your number from all the accounts. But they really won't give you any details (3rd party). Best thing to do is contact them by mail or fax, give your business number, tell them to cease and desists all calls to that number.

Basher's right. A consumer can do this also, if that person has multiple accounts in NCO's hands. Good post Basher.

debtbasher then can you please explain to me why I do duplicate account searches when each person calls in. And also why they would not find this when the person called in and the collector tried to pull up the file by the # the person calls in from. Sorry debtbasher I don't buy it!!!
