Half- Cooked Chicken, Slow Service

CLEVELAND, TENNESSEE -- I have been to Dennys a lot, mostly at night when it's not crowded. Tonight we had the worst service we have ever had. It took so long to get our food.

When we ordered, we ordered chicken to go for our dog. When we finally got our food, my husband's omelet did not have everything on it. What it did have was skimpy. I don't know if the people walking around were cooks, but they walked in and out a lot. When we got ready to leave our server went to get our to go order. The guy in back got smart with our server because he told him the chicken was to go. When we got home the chicken was pink. Needless to say, our dog didn't get her chicken. We had to throw it away.

I don't know if the lady in the green blouse was a manager or just a cashier but if it wasn't for her we wouldn't have gotten our drinks refilled. I thought maybe our server was new, but it wasn't his fault our food wasn't what it was supposed to be. The cooks should have been cooking instead of walking around. It wasn't only us that had to wait forever to get their food. I hope their food was better than ours. We will be going elsewhere from now on, but Dennys needs to hire a cook for night or teach the young man to cook.

I last ate food at Denny's back in 1998. It was horrible, and I assumed that was not atypical. My guess would have been they had food fit for a dog, but I see that is not always the case.

Prime Rib Cobb Salad?

This noon I ordered a prime rib cobb salad. Where's the Beef? There was a few scraps. When I asked the waitress about the amount or lack of "prime rib" in this salad, she explained this was a measured amount. After patronizing Denny's for several years I think I'll take my business to Bob Evans, they give you a lot better value for you money.

Same story in AZ. I ordered one of those back some time ago, it had like 4 pieces of tough meat they say was prime. I've learned that what you see in the pictures at denny's in the menu is just like the pictures you see on tv dinners. its not always what you get.

Not so good

Well we got really greased fish that was fried in OLD grease. Eww.
My chicken pit pie wasn't even fit to eat. I sent it back. They didn't make it right.
Then I ordered a strawberry sundae
It want good

THEY NEVER MADE ANY OF IT RIGHT!

Slow Service

This restaurant was under staffed for a Saturday. The service was slow and I saw customers leave before ordering. I only was served one cup of coffee.

I am a AARP card holder and thus us the only Denny's that I have been to that doesn't honor the 20% and a dollar coffee. I have been very disappointed in the last 3 visits to this restaurant.

Deplorable Conditions

LAFAYETTE, INDIANA -- We went to Denny's for dinner and my grandson was seated in a booster chair. All of a sudden he went head first to the floor, seat and all. Luckily he was not injured. We found the strap had not been buckled because it was broken. They said how sorry they were and got him another seat (that worked). Next our meal was served and my granddaughter was eating chili and bit down on something strange. She pulled it out of her mouth and it was as piece of plastic from evidently a sack or something that had fallen in her chili. They did not even come to say anything to us, just that she talked to the manager and they would credit for her bowl of chili. I filled out a complaint form and truly expected to hear back from them. We had to pay for our full bill and not even an apology for the seat or the chili.

What can be done about such things? I do not believe in law suits, but I believe in fair treatment. This was VERY unfair as our meal was ruined by my grandson's fall and scare and the the soup was the topping on the cake.

Obviously we left without hardly eating and paid a big price for it. The date was 6/28/13 at Denny's in Lafayette, IN on 4260 South St.

My server helped us from the moment we sat down till the time we walked out. She even ran my glasses up to me cause I had left at the table. You don't get service like that anymore. Good to know it's still out there. Thanks!!!!!

Had lunch at denny today worst lunch ever.waitress was the worst ever.food was cold..too busy talking to the people at the next table .ordered a soda tp go of course she brings it in a glass..asked for lemon three times.in order to get it. Can't write anymore .so we probably will not go back to that one ..in st pete 34th st s...

Late Greeting From Server

I arrived at Denny's on rt 273 at about 2:30 am on July 7th and didn't get greeted for a drink order or anythimg til about 2:55. I'm a server for a 4 star restaurant and even though I do not complain and am a easily pleased guest I wasn't pleased on this occasion. Your staff has no idea what they're doing especially after dealing with the trash around them.

RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA -- I was in Rapid City, S. D. on June 29th around lunch time. Three hours earlier I had come from ICU Rapid City Regional where I had lost my husband. My daughter and best friend were with me and they insisted I have something to eat. I am 64 yrs old and I wait tables at a very busy place so I for 45 yrs. have knowledge of the ins and outs of cafe business have had one of my own.

What I saw at the one we ate at near the hospital is the worst display of horsing around in a eatery in my life. It took us over a half hour to get our food it had sat under lights for sometime. I know lights don't keep it hot. My spahgetti was cold and crusty around the edges, toast was crisp on the edges and other side wet and soggy. My daughters soup cold, my friends eggs cold as were the grits. She asked for a glass of milk and they brought her a tiny little pitcher of milk. We asked to have food heated and while we were there all that time these kids were whooping and laughing and horsing around.

Finally I stood up and asked if we could get our food that was supposedly being heated. I was in grief to begin with and then to go in and see something like that with NO responsible adult in there. That was my first visit to a Dennys and my last. That was so un-acceptable, chasing one another around laughing and squealing. What the he** has become of common sense and serving the customer. If I done that at Murdo S. D. I would make no tips what so ever and my boss would fire my a** in a blink of a eye.

We pd. a lot of money for the worst service I have ever endured. My friend is a waitress too and my daughter is a lab tech at Sanford. We were all just flabbergasted. What a waste, and to top it off we seen a table get up and walk out and there were four of them and I heard the lady say we have sat here for 15 min. and not even been acknowledged. Is this how all your places are run??????????????????????

Was Never Waited On

Was sat in a back room my family and I and were given menus, 20 minutes later we decided to speak to a manager regarding never being approached by a server. There was no manager observed and staff paid no attention to me.
