Not an Honest Company

HERMITAGE, TN -- I paid them upfront (big mistake). Had to keep calling in order to the finally get the engine (7 weeks). Didn't come as described by the owner. They also charged a Core deposit. When I sent the core in for a refund, they never refunded the money. Have been calling for six months now. The receptionist answers, takes a message and says that Tom Sanders (the owner) will call me back, but won't give me any information. Nobody ever calls back.

tom is a liar and does not run a honest business-can not believe anything that comes out of his mouth-the first moter he sent me had a hole in the block the 2nd moter blew with 5,500 miles on it

Dave (aka JAG007), For the record - the Terms of Service here prohibit “libelous, defamatory…….or inaccurate material of any kind or nature”. That means if it’s not true – you can’t put it up. However, to be fair – what’s the rest of the story? You bought a used motor from us (with only a guaranteed start-up – no warranty)…it did have a problem. You asked to return it and have the whole purchase price applied to a rebuilt motor. I gladly agreed, built one, delivered it (free of charge) and stood behind it for a full year. You have had it for over a year and a half – who knows what has been done to it since then? You gave me a rash over blowing it up and wanted another “special deal” – I made you a very good offer. Just not free – that’s the rest of the story. Tom

P.S. You forgot to throw in the part where you raved about how well it ran for the first year and a half…maybe you just blew it up???

Mr. Sanders - you responded to Dave, but what about the OP (aka JohnnyASE). His complaint is you haven't return his core charge in 6 months, in addition to an engine that was not as advertised. Just curious, since you showed up to comment.

Dave's facts seem to track yours fairly closely, but it isn't clear why he referred to you as a liar.

Diesel Fixers Representative: I looked up your company's BBB Rating. It is a big F. Why haven't you worked out any of the Better Business Complaints against you? Looks like there are at least four.

TOM IS FULL OF LIES-LOOK HIM UP ON PISSEDOFFCUSTOMER.COM. THE FIRST MOTER HE SOLD ME HAD A HOLE IN THE BLOCK THAT HE SAID RAN GOOD-CAN NOT IMAGINE IT RUNNING GOOD WITH HOLE IN THE BLOCK. HE SAID HE HEARD IT RUN-THA IS WHY HE IS A LIAR.SO HE WOULD NOT GIVE ME MONEY BACK SO I MADE A STUPID MISTAKE AND APPLIED THAT MONEY TO A COMPLETE DROP IN MOTOR THAT ONLY LASTED 5,500 MILES.

Tom Sanders is a nice person to talk to and thinks on his feet extremely well. I blew a freeze plug in my 1999 H-1 Hummer and thought it might be a good time to go ahead and just put in a new motor. I located Tom Sanders aka Diesel Fixers on the internet and looked over their website, spoke to Tom at least a half dozen times and finally agreed to go with Diesel Fixers for the repair/motor replacement, transmission rebuild, total fluids replacement in other words a good looking over from front to back. Tom did claim to be the best Hummer Mechanic around (NOT).
Well over a year later after dozens and dozens of phone calls, more excuses than you could ever imagine, company move, employee problems, business burglaries and the list goes on and on. I finally got my Hummer back in my possession, but unfortunately not in the same or better condition it was given to them in. Was a new/rebuilt motor put in or were the existing motor's freeze plugs just replaced, can't really tell. Did the front and rear ends get gone completely through as agreed and paid for, it doesn't appear they were. Was the transmission overhauled, can't really tell other than new fluid was evident. Here is my real dead on complaint, Tom claims there was a break in at his shop and that in the process the front windows in my H-1 were broken and Tom claimed he doesn't have any insurance to cover any of the cost of replacement of my windows. The front windows of my H-1 were heated bullet proof windows costing around $1400.00 each and there are two left and right. Tom replace the windows. but not with the correct windows, he just shoved in plain old cheap Hummer windows and gunked up the window seals trying to make it un-noticeable and so the windows wouldn't leak. It is my opinion that Tom Sanders removed my heated bullet proof windows and added them to his own H-1 Hummer. Tom and I also agreed upon a price before any of the work was started and at the end over a year later that price for services was not honored. Tom held my H-1 hostage until I paid him the new total which turned out to be thousand more than what we agreed on.
Tom Sanders is not an honest person.
Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey hummer guy, if yours was the white hummer, I will have to disagree on some of your points. I used to work for tom, and I'm the one who put the glass in your truck. The window was, in fact, broken. Not sure how it happened. I do know this.... Your windows were not armor plated or bulletproof. I don't have a dog in this fight, I just don't like folks bending the truth. Your truck was rebuilt completely... I saw the tranny torn apart and redone, motor was rebuilt, t case was re done. We did the best we could on your front glass, but I know for fact your glass wasn't bulletproof. Hey, accidents happen bud
