Not So New And Improved Zingers
Posted by on
GAYLORD, MICHIGAN -- I recently bought some raspberry Zingers. They were very small( 1/2 of normal size) and tasted horrible...like cardboard. I thought being new and improved they would taste even better. They tasted worse. What ever happened to the old and good ones? I used to buy them all the time but no longer will. I am very disappointed.

I'll never understand why a company revamps a product that tastes just fine as it is. More often than not, it's never an 'improvement'.

Have you ever thought about the phrase "new and improved"? It can't possibly be both, ya know? I don't think I'd trust anything called a raspberry Zinger, but at least now I have a testimonial to refer to. Thanks for the review.

The zingers I think they were Lemon were revamped to vanilla, I thought these are tiny and they taste like the low calorie snacks.....no thanks

I prefer Drake's cakes. Love Devil Dogs and Yankee Doodles. But alas, they are not sold in Colorado.

No Drake's cakes for me :(

Sissylynnlove, have ever tried Angel food cakes by Little Debbie?? They are pretty good.

Sorry the Zingers didn't meet your expectations. So much for being new and improved.

Why not contact them and express your dissatisfaction? If enough people call they might go back to the original formula.

April, I'm with you because I tried some too and they were BAD!

Obviously if enough people complain and as a result quit buying the "new and improved" they might just get the idea to return to the original product. For some reason this review reminded me of when Coca-Cola came out with the New Coke. You remember..they had decided to quit bottling the original. We all know what happened in that case.

I quit buying Hostess snacks. The pies taste like rancid lard, and the cupcakes and Snoballs taste nothing like what they did when I was a kid. I have gotten to where what little snacks I can eat, are Little Debbies. Our favorites are the Boston Creme cakes, which are delicious.

Umm, Starlord, I love those also. I also enjoy the peanut butter crunch bars, and banana marshmellow pies.

I remember, when I was a little girl, way back when the dinosaurs ruled the earth, (just kidding, somewhat), my mom used to buy a snack called Scooter Pies. They were like the Little Debbie marshmellow pies, and I think they came in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.

Oh now I really want a sweet treat :)
