In the past few weeks I have noticed a change at your supermarket checkout counters. In an attempt to be more friendly and customer service oriented, your stores now appear to have a policy of thanking the customer and using their full name upon completion of the sale. I must admit, at first I found this to be a nice surprise. However I have grown weary of it, for the simple fact that I now feel I don't like my name being announced to everyone one in line and in the area. I feel it is, in some ways, a violation of my privacy when the clerk looks down and announces my name to everyone. What if I don't want the people in line to know my name? What if there is some weirdo following me around the store, and when we get up to line, now that weirdo has my name because the clerk just gave it away? As much as I understand what you are trying to do, I have decided to shop at another store where my identity is kept more private.

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
