BISHOP, CALIFORNIA -- My truck broke down 300 miles from home and the Ford service manager told me I had to have a new diesel engine. The engine was ordered and I was told it would take a week to get it replaced. I ask him to replace the turbo also as it has caused me a lot of trouble, since I have owned the truck. After he started working on the truck 2 wks later. He told me it would be ready on a Monday I showed up to get the truck (300 mi.) he had just got started that day. He proceeded to tell me I didn't need a new turbo as he checked mine out and it was fine. I showed up on Tue. to check on their progress and he told me I had to have a new turbo as I had turbo parts in the engine (another day waiting on parts). He had forgot to order a new turbo so he told me mine was good. 2 weeks later I was back in Bishop and I got a check engine light and they repaired it at no charge. Before I got home I received another check engine light and a temperary loss of power. I took it to another Ford Dealer in Auburn, Ca. and they repaired it. It was the same thing that the other dealer had repaired plus $159.00. Since the first dealers work didn't work I called him up and he told me he could not reemburse me. My biggest concern is he lied to me more than once and would not stand behind his work.
