SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I was kicked off eBay just like every one else. Reason, poor standards. I did everything just like they wanted but, you know how that goes. Now the government wants to tax the internet and eBay wants me to sing up and help fight this. I wonder what the other 15,000 people that have been kicked off feel about this? eBay isn't going to get any help. I wonder if any of the other 15,000 people are going to sign up. I also wonder if anyone has figured out how much eBay is making of the hundreds of sales they are holding back money for 3-20 days and collecting interest. Sorry eBay but no help from ED. I have a garage loaded with merchandise and when I sell it that will be it.1 Replies - Latest reply on 03/01/2014Add reply
FREMONT, CALIFORNIA -- I bought an item at EBay, and it never arrived. I contacted the seller and they gave me the tracking number and yes it did show it shipped to my address, but some how the USPS never delivered to me and sent it back to the seller. I asked the seller to either give me my money back or send me my order again. I even attached the tracking number showing the item shipped back to them, and EBay decided the seller is right. Really???? How can they be so blind and can't read the tracking number the item sent back to the seller. I will not buy again from EBay.1 Replies - Latest reply on 02/10/2014Add reply
NO protection for the sellers!
CLARKSVILLE, TN -- After being a seller for over a year, I can completely and truthfully say eBay is more than completely unfair to sellers. I have a 100% feedback score, yet I still have all these problems. Yes I have ... read full review3 Replies - Latest reply on 01/15/2014
RHINELANDER, WISCONSIN -- This reads like a broken record of complaints that obviously gets ignored by the one being complained about...EBay. I'll keep it short, 5 out of 5 stars and account was suspended for reasons I could not even understand. Fair warning listen to all the complaints as extremely accurate info and not bashing. This company does not have the pulse of e-commerce, customer service, or ease of operations. The complaints are growing with great speed as well as the loss of good if not great customers....Add reply
I purchased a pair of new lam boots. They were listed as new and the last pair. When I received them they were worn and you could see that they had been worn 5 or 6 times by the soles. I immediately returned them and filed with Ebay. I had paid with PayPal and so I tried to file a claim there. I had to pay $10 to send them back and eBay would only allow the original amount to be refunded to me, and no original postage. PayPal wouldn't do squat because I filed with Ebay. They are both screws and I will never buy from eBay again. They are a buyer beware site.Add reply
OLD SAYBROOK, CONNECTICUT -- Our family business has been with eBay since 1998. We have been buying and selling and have maintained a 99% positive feedback rating over THOUSANDS of transactions. We have been in business since 1958. We have been kicked off of EBay overnight and are no longer allowed to sell! We where caught in the debacle of delayed shipping over the holidays because of UPS and Fedex! Ebay blamed us even though we went as far as sending out second shipments overnight to customers and ate the costs. UNREAL. Small businesses like ours MADE eBay and they kicked us to the curb only to allow Chinese import companies to sell counterfeit items.
SAD SAD SAD. I talked to a Representative and I could tell she had been dealing with people having the same complaint I did all day long yet she could not do anything because corporate has tied her hands. I then received a phone call from a "Supervisor" who also said he could not do anything.
I have been paying Ebay over $3000 per month in FEES PLUS Paypal fees ! THIS IS HOW THEY INTEND TO GROW Their BUSINESS!?
EBay sucks and won't give me my money back! I've been calling for weeks and now I just got disconnected after waiting for 45 mins. I am so upset with this company ! And the fact they don't care .... Great customer service Add reply
I purchased a set of kitchen knives that were described as immaculate. But, the knives I received were dulled to the point of useless. Seller refused to refund my money so I invoked e-bay buyer protection plan. E-bay sided with the seller and closed the case. I appealed and my appeal was denied.
E-bay never contacted me once through the whole process. The case was in appeal for 3 weeks so I call e-bay customer service. They told me the case worker lost track of my case and would contact me soon. Few days later I checked found out my appeal was denied. And no one from e-bay ever contacted me to hear my side. I bought many things off e-bay and this is the first time I’ve ever had a problem and tried to use e-bay’s so call buyer protection plan. I am extremely disappointed and hope this complaint finds other folks to give them a warning about buying things on e-bay. I for one will never shop on e-bay every again.
Simply been selling on eBay since 2008. Sold some items this month. Had to wait almost a month to get my money even though I delivered the item by 2 day express mail, at my expense I might add.
If your are not a big company, you are being pushed out of eBay as a seller.
Corruption and greed take over another company.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- When you buy anything on eBay your purchase insured "eBay Buyer Protection" . This is used by dishonest buyers . In my case, the buyer has bought the coat in perfect condition with no defects ( it was listed in my description and provided a lot of pictures of very good quality ) . However, after receiving a coat buyer said that it does not suit him and demanded a full refund by refusing to pay for shipping. I agreed to a refund minus the shipping cost. Buyer behaved very aggressively and rude. Was opened in the case in Resolution Center. Of course it was decided in favor of the buyer . Coats was to return in 3 weeks in a terrible condition. Useless to prove his innocence . It does not interest anyone . I suffered a loss ( lost an expensive coat + shipping cost ). I lost my confidence in eBay.Add reply
I tried to sell an item on eBay as a new seller. Someone bid on my product and never paid. I did everything I was suppose to do and they still charged me an outrageous selling fee for a product that I NEVER SOLD!!!! Does that make any sense? All they care about is making money for themselves. I personally will never ever sell anything on eBay again due there crazy fees. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 12/09/2013Add reply
COHOES, NEW YORK -- When you sell something not knowing that the buyer can not handle the product meaning its to complicated and they may need extra equipment in order to work it out. That makes it difficult in the end like 10 days later they just give a bad rating with no communication because you see there is nothing wrong with the unit so they can't return it to me as anything other than I don't want it now.
I sold them a product that they wanted they are pissed that they can't use it and won't communicate. So I called e bay and that's the end of the story 100% down to 90%. I agree with another sellers it may be time to not sell there anymore its to expensive. And I don't do much selling anyway.
She has been buying from sweet water a store where its new and has tech help. They are sales men and will sell her the right parts for her to carry on. And the other thing she gave me a bad ratting for shipping then took it back when she received the item in three days then said oh I am so happy its here. LOONY! Thanks for reading.
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- After 7 years and 5000+ sales. Ebay said I could not [sell] with them anymore. I had a 99% positive rating going. I refused to back down from a few buyers who I felt cheated me. Ebay basically told me I had too many negative feedbacks (2 ) , so they dumped me overnight. What really makes me mad is that I had 320 different items listed for Sale at the time, which they totally cancelled overnight. I had put many many hours imputing these on to Ebay. Ebay is not a good partner anymore to small sellers. ( Someone said, they have become the partner who will lock the front door, close the bank account, and move out of state without telling you) .Add reply
I bought locks from a seller on Ebay. When they showed up they were not the lock in the picture. I sent 4 pictures to the company with clear explanations. The seller knew he was wrong...they changed the picture but eBay says they did nothing wrong. If that was not bad enough they removed my rating! If the picture was not what was sent how could I be wrong? Do not trust them to protect the buyer. They do not care.Add reply
Ebay allows sellers to sell one product yet ship something different than was advertised.
Even when photos are sent and the item is damaged, you are in the wrong and must abide by whatever customer service decides.
I am willing to have the item finger printed to prove that the seller did in fact send the item I received and not the item that was described.
BELARUS -- I purchased a small item from Belarus, cost $14.00. The item never arrived. I contacted seller and was provided a Belarus tracking number, but no link.
I contacted Ebay and related problem. their so-called Problem Resolution Center decided against me. I appealed that decision and was again decided against. I left negative feedback for the seller and Ebay deleted my feedback ! Nobody at Ebay will talk with me, and I'm out $14.00. I guess Ebay just hoped to get the monkey (me) off their back. I'm now done with Ebay, having been a faithful buyer for a decade. So buyer beware, or better yet, don't trust them or Paypal !
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- Basically he is selling T-Mobile sim cards on eBay that he advertises as 4G capable. Well I take them to the store and they tell me they are the older non-4G capable cards.
I contact the seller and ask if there is anything he can do since the cards are not as advertised. He tells me I can send the cards back and I would be given a full refund. I send the cards back in the mail as he requested. Two weeks or more go by and I have not heard anything from the seller. I contact him and ask him to check if he misplaced the cards somewhere when he gets a chance.
Another 2 weeks go by. I tell him if he does not refund the money by Saturday I will have to leave bad feedback. So that's what I'm doing now. Hopefully this will help at least one person avoid problems like I experienced with this seller.
If you are a seller, screw you. eBay allows buyers to leave whatever feedback they want - because they are eBay's bread and butter. After 12 years with a perfect record, I was targeted by a so called 'powerseller' named PMSHIRL who accused me of ripping her off IN MY FEEDBACK because I didn't answer her demands immediately. I proved she was a liar and that I had in fact paid her the refund she accused me of stealing from her.
Guess what? That's right - eBay protected her DESPITE the fact that she has a history of harassing people, and told me they would not remove the feedback even though I had PROVED it was false. And good luck getting anything remotely resembling customer service from whatever 12th world country they're outsourcing to these days. Their employees would have to have at least a little knowledge of English (beyond reading a script phonetically) for you to receive that. Also, good luck closing your account. You can't even do that without them giving you a freakin' migraine!!!
