I tried to sell an item on eBay as a new seller. Someone bid on my product and never paid. I did everything I was suppose to do and they still charged me an outrageous selling fee for a product that I NEVER SOLD!!!! Does that make any sense? All they care about is making money for themselves. I personally will never ever sell anything on eBay again due there crazy fees. Add reply
COHOES, NEW YORK -- When you sell something not knowing that the buyer can not handle the product meaning its to complicated and they may need extra equipment in order to work it out. That makes it difficult in the end like 10 days later they just give a bad rating with no communication because you see there is nothing wrong with the unit so they can't return it to me as anything other than I don't want it now.
I sold them a product that they wanted they are pissed that they can't use it and won't communicate. So I called e bay and that's the end of the story 100% down to 90%. I agree with another sellers it may be time to not sell there anymore its to expensive. And I don't do much selling anyway.
She has been buying from sweet water a store where its new and has tech help. They are sales men and will sell her the right parts for her to carry on. And the other thing she gave me a bad ratting for shipping then took it back when she received the item in three days then said oh I am so happy its here. LOONY! Thanks for reading.
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- After 7 years and 5000+ sales. Ebay said I could not [sell] with them anymore. I had a 99% positive rating going. I refused to back down from a few buyers who I felt cheated me. Ebay basically told me I had too many negative feedbacks (2 ) , so they dumped me overnight. What really makes me mad is that I had 320 different items listed for Sale at the time, which they totally cancelled overnight. I had put many many hours imputing these on to Ebay. Ebay is not a good partner anymore to small sellers. ( Someone said, they have become the partner who will lock the front door, close the bank account, and move out of state without telling you) .Add reply
I bought locks from a seller on Ebay. When they showed up they were not the lock in the picture. I sent 4 pictures to the company with clear explanations. The seller knew he was wrong...they changed the picture but eBay says they did nothing wrong. If that was not bad enough they removed my rating! If the picture was not what was sent how could I be wrong? Do not trust them to protect the buyer. They do not care.Add reply
Ebay allows sellers to sell one product yet ship something different than was advertised.
Even when photos are sent and the item is damaged, you are in the wrong and must abide by whatever customer service decides.
I am willing to have the item finger printed to prove that the seller did in fact send the item I received and not the item that was described.
BELARUS -- I purchased a small item from Belarus, cost $14.00. The item never arrived. I contacted seller and was provided a Belarus tracking number, but no link.
I contacted Ebay and related problem. their so-called Problem Resolution Center decided against me. I appealed that decision and was again decided against. I left negative feedback for the seller and Ebay deleted my feedback ! Nobody at Ebay will talk with me, and I'm out $14.00. I guess Ebay just hoped to get the monkey (me) off their back. I'm now done with Ebay, having been a faithful buyer for a decade. So buyer beware, or better yet, don't trust them or Paypal !
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- Basically he is selling T-Mobile sim cards on eBay that he advertises as 4G capable. Well I take them to the store and they tell me they are the older non-4G capable cards.
I contact the seller and ask if there is anything he can do since the cards are not as advertised. He tells me I can send the cards back and I would be given a full refund. I send the cards back in the mail as he requested. Two weeks or more go by and I have not heard anything from the seller. I contact him and ask him to check if he misplaced the cards somewhere when he gets a chance.
Another 2 weeks go by. I tell him if he does not refund the money by Saturday I will have to leave bad feedback. So that's what I'm doing now. Hopefully this will help at least one person avoid problems like I experienced with this seller.
If you are a seller, screw you. eBay allows buyers to leave whatever feedback they want - because they are eBay's bread and butter. After 12 years with a perfect record, I was targeted by a so called 'powerseller' named PMSHIRL who accused me of ripping her off IN MY FEEDBACK because I didn't answer her demands immediately. I proved she was a liar and that I had in fact paid her the refund she accused me of stealing from her.
Guess what? That's right - eBay protected her DESPITE the fact that she has a history of harassing people, and told me they would not remove the feedback even though I had PROVED it was false. And good luck getting anything remotely resembling customer service from whatever 12th world country they're outsourcing to these days. Their employees would have to have at least a little knowledge of English (beyond reading a script phonetically) for you to receive that. Also, good luck closing your account. You can't even do that without them giving you a freakin' migraine!!!
ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS -- Sold and iPhone over seas and a month and a half later get an email from the buyer saying he never received it. He opened up a case with eBay and they just automatically ruled in his favor. Called to get help with the issue and told them I did everything the way I was supposed too and kept in contact with this person and he essentially didn't care, was condescending, rude, and didn't do anything to help. eBay is a huge scam all around and I warn everyone to stay away. They take you whole paycheck like they did to me.Add reply
It's easy for some sellers to rip people off. I bought a vintage silver braclet and later saw it for sale from China. I am a Canadian who no longer buys jewelry off Ebay because we can't see everything Americans can so its easier to rip us off. Add reply
