Tried to order fruit arrangement from store in lubbock, tx and was told they did not deliver to the small community I wanted them to deliver to. they said they delivered to another one but it was further away in the other direction and I asked why but they said they didn't know. actually the girl sounded like she hadn't even heard of my community but don't know.
few weeks later one of their delivery vans passed me in my community as I was leaving so I got on the cell phone and called them and the lady told me they sure did deliver there and she couldn't believe someone told me different. well I emailed a complaint to their email but never heard from anyone. this is three months later and I called Friday to get one delivered to my community and the girl was nice and took all my info then asked for the address in the community and I gave it to her. then she asked for the zip and I gave it to her and she said the computer rejected the zip so she could not deliver here. I said, "you told me when I first called that you did" she said yeah she thought they did too but the computer rejected it. I told her to use my zip that goes with my credit card then just hand write the real location on the printed out ticket and she said she couldn't do that. I got very angry and called her a bad, but clean, name that questioned her intelligence and then hung up. filed a complaint with BBB and it will be interesting to see if I get any response from anyone. in the complaint I was asked what type resolution was I looking for and I said just have the owner or manager call or email me and tell me if they do or do not deliver here and did their employee tell them about my little call. I figure the employee wasn't about to tell them about my call and how angry I was but maybe she did. hope to hear something. Anyway, if you don't live in lubbock, tx be careful about trying to get something delivered.

You should contact corporate, so they can at least find out why you are being told one thing, and then told another. The BBB isn't your friend, so they are a waste of time. They cannot force them to add your delivery area to their computer system.

I understand that the computer rejected your zip code, so there is no way they can have it delivered, if this area is not in their delivery zone.

Contact the main office and tell them about your experience.

That definitely shows a lack of communication. Either they don't deliver or they do--it can't be both. I agree with the above poster that you should contact corporate. If you see a van in your area, they should be able to deliver there.

Item not delivered

Item not delivered
Item was to be delivered on May 27th. I paid $12.00 delivery charge, business attempted to deliver at 11:00 did not call me until 4:00 (2 hours before store closed) to let me know they did not deliver. According to delivery policy they are supposed to leave it with a neighbor. They did not. I asked if they could deliver on Sat they stated it would be another $12.00. Delivery policy says nothing about that. They were closed on Sunday and Monday. On the 31 I called the store. VERY RUDE manager told me he will not give me my money back and hung up on me. I called corporate (corporate delivery policy states he was supposed to attempt a second delivery at no charge)and they took the complaint and said the owner would call me within 72 hours. That did not happen. The note left on the door did not state a time item had to be picked up. My son worked Fri late, Sat more hours than the store was opened. Hours of this store are not customer friendly. I believe since company policy was not followed I deserve my $73.56 back. I paid $12.00 for delivery and this store did not deliver.

So...the store owner just decided he is going to keep your money? I'm sure that won't fly with corporate.

I've seen advertisements but have never called Edible Arrangements so I have a couple of questions and am not faulting you, just curious. Obviously they attempted the first delivery but I'm confused about the delivery policy that they are supposed to leave it with a neighbor if the individual is not home. What if the neighbor is not home either or unwilling to accept responsibility?

Obviously your son worked late Friday the 27th and from what you stated worked more hours than the store was open on Saturday the 28th. I honestly can't imagine when the arrangement could have been delivered with your son's work schedule and it obviously fresh fruit. Thanks for the heads up.

A Great Gift Idea
Posted by Goduke on 05/06/2010
TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- It's that time of the year again....what to get Mom for Mother's Day? She doesn't need anymore stuff lying around the house, and I don't buy clothes for people (because I apparently have no style). I trekked on over to Edible Arrangements online, and checked out what they had for this time of the year. Found a nice arrangement that looked pretty nice in the picture. Put in Mom's zip code, and they immediately connected my order with a store that was a couple of minutes from her home. She called last night absolutely thrilled with the gift. The local store did a great job of putting together the fresh fruit arrangement and got it to her without a hitch.

Thanks, Edible Arrangements, for helping me saying Happy Mother's Day to my Mom!!

always wondered if this place was any good, and also wondered about the "value." Did you get a decent buy for your money? How would you compare to buying flowers?

My brother was the recipient of one of these last year. He and the guests (myself included) loved it! My feeling is it's better than flowers because it's appealing to the eye and tasty as well. Good review!

Well, I realize you can't exactly eat a rose, just wondering about comparative "value."
Posted by Alain on 2010-05-06:
It looks like something decent would be around the $50 range (looks like some vendors have less expensive one's, but I only glanced at the website). Flowers can cost that much these days. They are different and fun, but you can't miss with flowers, too. The value is tough to call here. A lot would depend on what you think the recipient would like...

For some reason, it seems to have a bigger impact as a gift than flowers every did. I think it's because it's different. Mom said "I have enough fruit for 4 months." A bit of an exaggeration (most likely), but the visual was apparently quite impressive. Granted, I could probably get a basket of fruit from the market and ship it for about 1/3 of the price, but the little pineapple daisies, and chocolate dipped strawberries really made it a fun gift. I'd definitely do it again.

You know, I'm thinking we might do this for my Mother-in-Law this weekend. She's never gotten one and I really don't feel like going down and buying yet another plant for her this Mother's Day.

My mom would love something like this, thanks for the review!

Excellent review goduke!

This is my favorite gift to receive. Not only is it visually stunning, but it's also absolutely delicious fruit. Now you have got me pondering the chocolate covered strawberries.

I've seen the ads and always thought the arrangements looked great. I will definitely keep this in mind as an alternative to flowers.
Great review.

i have found edible arragements to be very costly.

I love this review and the comments. I see their truck in my area all the time and always wonder how fresh the fruit is and how long it lasts. I love flowers but would much rather have fruit, or anything that doesn't just die and get thrown out. I think it's a great Mother's Day gift!

Thanks for posting, goduke....every time I see the commercial, the arrangements always look so good, nice to know they actually arrive that way too.
