I'm going on my second printer in 3 years. The first time the customer service was fine and they replaced my printer since it was during the warranty time or just about. It's been 2 years since this exchange they did and this one is now dead. (Past the warranty.) What they offer is a new one at a so-called discounted price. I spent over $100 on all new ink - which it tells you to do when troubleshooting, etc. The printers listed - I could not use any of this ink I just bought!! I could have bought a different printer HAD I known that!
The only thing they offered me was AFTER I buy a new printer from them (WHY in world would I do that knowing they don't last is beyond me!??) they said they would then send me a set of cartridges for the new printer. Anyway, apparently their product doesn't last for more than 2-3 years and I found the MANAGER, ** very unprofessional and ended up hanging up on me only because I didn't find her offer very acceptable.
I've just wasted $100 on ink that I can't use because their printers just don't last!! I suggest anyone to go with another brand. I've had these kind in the past and I should have known to stick with a higher end company/either Panasonic or Hewlett when buying this sort of product. I hope it helps someone else as well.
MASCOUTAH, ILLINOIS -- I purchased a Epson Stylus 640 Ink Jet Printer under their $30 rebate promotion. A few weeks later I forward the rebate form with the retailer's receipt but had never received the rebate. After sending several letters to them, the last letter was returned unopened with the notation 'Box closed'.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following: I have since junked the Epson and purchase a Lexmark and received their promotional rebate within weeks. Just let everyone know that some companies do not stand behind their promotional rebates promised by the retailers. At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
I will never purchase another Epson product, and will influence all I come in contact to boycott purchases of Epson products. The company is unethical and try to take advantage of consumers. If you don't believe it, go into any Office Max and try to buy their replacement cartridges of ink for Epson printers. Epson should be investigated by the FTC for unfair practices. I have tried to contact Epson direct, however have been unable to find a direct contact address, either "snail mail", e-mail, or phone. BEWARE YOU POTENTIAL EPSON BUYERS... YOU WILL UNDOUBTEDLY REGRET THE PURCHASE!!!
EUREKA -- It has taken seven or eight toll phone calls and Epson has still failed to deliver the correct ink cartridges. Now, they ask me to return the incorrect cartridges at my cost in order to, hopefully, get the correct ones. The errors have all been theirs. It seems unfair that they refuse to pay for the return postage on their mistake.
