SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- I recommend that no one purchase from this company.
After having my payment in hand (delivery confirmation from the USPS) for four (4) days, they flagged me with EBAY and opened a non-paying bidder dispute.
I have tried to get EBAY to explain how they can open a non-paying dispute when I can show that they had my money. I have gotten no response.
On 12/27/2007 I completed an EBAY transaction with EUROSPORT GARAGE. I could not use their automated checkout system so I contacted them immediately to obtain a mailing address. I sent a USPS money order to their address via USPS Priority Mail on 12/28/2007 which was received by them on 12/31/2007.
On 01/03/2008 they informed EBAY that I had not paid for the item in question and that they were flagging my account as a non-paying bidder.
I question how they can have my money for 4 calendar days and then label me as a non-paying bidder.
Neither EBAY nor the company is being forthcoming with an explanation. I no longer wish to do business with this company as I do not trust their business ethics.
Company Response 11/19/2008: Please be objective when reading complaints. We have over 99% feedback rating. For this specific incident please look at the dates of the complaint. It is during the Christmas/New year holiday where we stated we were closed. Because the buyer completed checkout doesn't mean they actually paid. All it means is they went through checkout. Plus this customer sent a MONEY ORDER which still requires time to clear as you know there are scam buyers as well on eBay. We make clear that money orders and personal checks are subject to hold time until they clear. Also just because USPS delivered an envelope on the 12/31 = NEW YEARS EVE (When we are closed) it doesn't mean the payment was processed. Also this buyer conveniently fails to state that their payment was 10days LATE. They did checkout finally on 12/27 but the auction ended a week before. So when we started processing orders after the new year break on 01/03, eBay had already filed a non-paying bidder as the payment was not processed or cleared. This was an unfortunate timing issue due to using mail payment method and the holiday. When we attempted to explain to the buyer, they did not want to take the time to understand the situation. In the end the non-paying bidder was corrected by ebay and the transaction was completed.
