BROWNWOOD, TEXAS -- My son is in the Brownwood, Texas detention center. He has been trying for three days now to call us collect here in South Carolina. I have called the Evercom customer service center at phone number 1 800 947 0899 three times, once each on 21, 22, and 23 April 2004. Each time they have assured me that my line was clear to receive calls.

My son bought a calling card and tried to call me with it, it still wouldn't go thru with it either. I am trying to give your company some business, but it seems Evercom doesn't want my business or else just doesn't care.
A couple of years ago, I had evercom place a block on my line. They are very good about blocking calls. I wish they would learn how to remove the blocks.
If you care and want to help me, remove the block or call me to let me know if I can help you in any way. The phone number that has the block on it is 1-864-845-0427. It is operational all the time. I am requesting a service from Evercom, please help me. Thanks, Ernie Rice
This service has to be one of the biggest rip offs I have ever encountered. After they get you in, you are told you may never be released from their grip. They block your phone line, even if the phone line is not in your name, customer service is of no help. I have tried for over six weeks to rid myself of this parasite, to no avail.

Unless you wish to spend hours on the phone with these morons, and lots more money than they say you will spend (they say you get a cheaper rate-do not believe them, and no help from customer service (should be customer dis-service), this would be the right one for you.
Do yourself, and any friends contiplating using this service (Correctional Billing Services) a great favor, and don't. You will receive much heartache, and no satisfaction with this service.
Most of the time you will spend at least a half hour listening to their options via phone, then you are booted off the line, because their customer service lines are all busy, and you are rang off. No doubt, their lines are too busy with complaints, as so they should be.
I am appalled at the process that are charged to talk to an inmate at the jail and they are the only only ones available which is a bunch of bunk. Then on top of that they charge a service charge in addition to the call. It's like a force to use for connection to talk to an inmate. 3 Replies - Latest reply on 01/23/2009Add reply

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO -- I like to know why they have 100.00 Of my money floating around there company that I have paid and not able to use. Then I get the runaround from them saying it will take 24 to 48 hours to investigate this money was put on the account on 7/13/07 and has been taken out of my checking account. There sorry advice and inconsideration needs to be addressed because my advice is they don't give a sh*t and I would like to punch all of them in there face and I wouldnt be sorry. The system is outdated, customer service representatives are rude, and they overcharge because they can. I waited on hold for 45 minutes just to speak to someone that couldn't help me. 2 Replies - Latest reply on 07/01/2007Add reply
GEORGIA -- I think you have a really bad attitude and might want to think about finding a new job. I worked for a company that received several calls an hour and 9 out of 10 were people screaming and demanding something be done, I did what I could to help to resolve the issue but eventually it got to me and I had to leave the job. I understood the anger and frustration from the callers and by no means did i once get smart with any caller.3 Replies - Latest reply on 10/05/2005Add reply
