Deceptive Advertising

SYOSSET, NEW YORK -- Their Website advertises their filters as original Honeywell filters, but that is not what you get. I ordered my filters by Honeywell OEM part number, and when they arrived, they were not Honeywell filters, they were generic. Also, the filter size was not the size that I ordered. Their website took me to a page that was not the correct size. Deceptive advertising. And to add insult to injury, they want me to pay to ship them back and charge me a 15% restocking fee because of their mistake. Don't deal with this company unless you want to get ripped off.

Horrible Customer Service and No Company Honesty

SYOSSET, NEW YORK -- I'd be very careful buying anything from this vendor. I recently purchased a Uniden security system (UDR780HD) which was advertised by FactroyOutletStore.com as the replacement for the Uniden G955 system, which I have owned for years (works perfectly). Prior to ordering I moved one of my existing CG45 cameras (part of the G955 system) to the location I intended to place the new UR780HD cameras to see if the distance between the camera and monitor was achievable. The G955 system/CG45 camera worked fine. The two systems advertise equally achievable distances between camera and monitor.

Upon receiving the new UD780HD system I found the achievable distance between the cameras and monitor was about half what my G955 system could achieve. This was true even with direct line of sight between the UD780HD camera and monitor. My G955 system passes thru three walls between the camera and monitor at an equal distance the UD780HD system couldn't achieve with direct line of sight.

I had the system for three days and immediately repacked and returned to FactoryOutletStore.com for a refund. Their terms and conditions state they "may" keep 15% of the purchase price for returned items. It should say they "will" keep 15% of your purchase price. So, between the 15% kept and the return postage it cost me approximately $100 to find out FactoryOutletStore.com practices false advertising.

One more item of interest. Every time I turned on the new UD780HD system my Bose Soundwave (wifi enabled) radio would stop receiving a signal from my router. I called Uniden to discuss and they said "yes, we have been getting some feedback about interference between other wireless systems and the new UD780HD security system". So, there you have it.

Sonicare Toothbrush

Bought a Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush from this online store. I paid $190 for it where full retail was $219 so I saved almost $30. But it took at least 2 weeks to get it and after 2 to 3 weeks of use, it started to not work properly. On/off button would not turn off. I sent them an email to see if I could return and exchange it but they said it was not within the 30 days return. They were right, but I don't recommend buying anything from them as things break down quickly and they seem to be sub par and don't give you enough time to try it out. Saving $30 is not really a savings when you have to throw the thing out and my $190 is down the drain.

SYASSETT -- I ordered a wallet with Factoryoutletstore.com even though it was listed as backordered. The website said it would fill the order in a few days. This didn't happen. The price wasn't fantastic, but I thought this was affiliated with PacSafe, the maker of the wallet. I just wanted a new wallet to replace my old tattered one. They aren't affiliated with PacSafe, nor are they a good company to deal with. About a month later, I got a call from them asking me to swap the item for another wallet "just a little bit larger." I was tired of waiting, so I said to send it. Instead of a man's wallet, I got an organizer the size of a woman's purse. That will NOT fit in my pocket. I asked for a refund or exchange. I got the form and it showed a 15% "restocking fee" if the item isn't broken. This is unfair, since THEY were the ones that made the mistake. I filled out the form and asked for a lower priced wallet. They received the returned “Purse” (wallet) on February 5, 2016 at 10:15am. I called today and they said the tracking is not good enough and they don't have the merchandise I sent to exchange it. They want more proof that they got the item. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people if you can help it. Any problems are NOT addressed in a timely manner and they make you jump through hoops to get what you paid for. I wish I could give them 1/2 a star rating and I will tell everyone in the world eventually.

Continuation

Here it is several days later and after receiving a confirmation email from ** that my replacement battery was shipped that day, I've received an email from ** in customer service to verify that the battery they were sending me was correct, as it seemed they HAD sent me the correct replacement battery in the first place. I sent a detailed letter in response that there was no way to verify from the picture and I said so, but from the link they sent it seemed to be OK. Then, I asked if it was a rechargeable one as that was part of the problem.

Received ANOTHER email saying that the representative had tried to call me (I don't ever give out my real phone number to keep from it getting placed on caller lists) and was told to return my entire system as it was too hard to handle this by email and I would have to pay 15% restocking fee. (This is in addition to my paying the shipping costs as I've learned from other complaints about this company.) All they have to do is tell me whether or not it's rechargeable. This had to be handled over the phone? After ** told me a few days ago that a new Uniden BT-446 was being shipped to me???

I called customer service and as it turned out, talking to ** who once again told me that they had sent me the correct replacement battery in the first place (OMG!).... Guess ** was wrong after I convinced HIM they had sent me the wrong battery. (I've spent many minutes researching these two different type batteries on the internet.)

After a huge argument with her interrupting me over and over, and my interrupting her interruptions trying to explain my situation to her and asking to send me the new battery, she said that "You don't have to 'cuss'." (I wasn't. I was telling her that I would write a bad review about their company... guess she was trying to impress those around her) and she hung up. During the conversation she told me that I would not have to pay the 15% restocking fee as stated in the email which was sent to me. I told her that I didn't believe her since I've read other reviews about this company and their lies they tell.

BTW, she told me that I've already been sent TWO, TWO! replacement batteries, and "We can't keep sending you new batteries!" Wrong. I've been sent one..... the wrong one. This is the customer service from Factory Outlet. One guy tells you after a big argument (created by the rep) that a new battery is being sent and an email is received to verify this, and before it can be sent, another person in customer service creates a new whole chain of emails to confuse the whole thing and using this as a reason to NOT send the new battery. This is over a $10 to $21 (depending upon which website) battery.

I ordered a $159.99 Lazy Lagoon float for my four sons several days before leaving for our lakeside vacation. With the wonderful 3-5 day shipping we would definitely receive it in time. Instead, we were shipped a $19.99 life line rescue line. I called regarding the company's error and 10 days, 14 calls and a vacation later I have 4 very disappointed sons and a rescue life line that cost me $159.99. Steer clear of this company and spread the word.

Return Policy Is A Scam - Paid Restocking Fee On Defective Item

I purchased a charging cable and adaptor from Factory Outlet Store - reviews were not bad on Amazon - but the part was defective. Reviewed website return policy to find out that I had to pay the return shipping and pay a restocking fee (RESTOCKING FEE for DEFECTIVE item). It cost me $10 to return a part that cost $15. I should have thrown it in the trash. Buy from someone else.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- The biggest scammers in the world. I made a purchase that in 5 days they had not shipped so I went ahead and canceled and even after canceling the days went by and no refund so I had to do a charge back through PayPal to get my money back. After all this, the scammers sent me the item and want me to pay a restocking fee!!!! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. I have also sent a complaint to the FTC regarding their practices and will file complaints on any online website I can about this scammers.

MARYLAND -- Received and installed a water filter in Whirlpool refrigerator and two days later it popped out and water leaked on the top shelf. Afterward I couldn't get it back in. The air filters never worked. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to return them and they also charge a restocking fee. I will never buy from them again.
