CLEVELAND, OHIO -- I go to Family Dollar on pearl and state almost every day. I spend at least a hundred dollars a week there. The manager ** is rude and couldn't care less if there are 10 people in line with 1 cashier. I won't be going there again.
OAKDALE, LOUISIANA -- The finally straw for me, I no longer shop at your store. I am amazed that Family Dollar can place a manager in a store that would be more suited in a barnyard. The store manager at the Oakdale, LA store is an angry, mean, rude and mannerless. We have had many, many managers but this rude/crude woman is the bottom of the barrel.
I used to go in at least once a week and spend $150 to $200 a week making my mother's purchase and mine. I will no longer step foot in the store because of the manager's rude behavior. She acts like it is an inconvenience and you are bothering her, if you ask a question or need her to check you out at the register. Please, people do you really want to keep this store open or not. The woman is an angry ape for another town with a serious chip on her shoulder. I have never seen such a horrible example of customer service. The whole town talks about her rude behavior and chose to no longer do business with your company.
People enter and exit the store without making a purchase, after she tells them off. She will bite your head off for no reason other she is so lazy she doesn't want you to bother her. She talks badly about customers in front of them to the other employee or persons in the store. She talks badly about them under her breathe as they are trying to check out at her register. With a is so rude that customer leave the store without People, please you can do a lot better for Oakdale than this angry, customer hater woman you have stuck us with this time.
Why can the rudest Family Dollar manager you have employed work in her own and give us a break from her. I am no longer shop in your Oakdale store. I expect good customer service where I spend my money, or at least not to be mistreated by an employee. I now shop at great store with the most incredible customer and it is clean. Sick and tired of your store manager.
HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT -- Reasons for the immediate termination of **, Store Manager of Store # 05055, located at 190 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT 06105: ** is verbally abusive toward employees. He makes threatening remarks, swears at and about employees, threatens to fire individuals and all employees as a group many times throughout each day. His verbal assaults are both intimidating and criminal, violating both Family Dollar policies regarding treatment of employees and producing a hostile work environment.
** is both unable and unwilling to perform the job as store manager without the continued assistance from his significant other to perform administrative managerial duties as well as putting the company at risk for liabilities that may occur as a result of this person's counting of company funds, access to confidential information, and fiscal liability if she becomes injured while working on the loading and unloading of trucks during receiving and of U-boats while stocking shelves.
** also has continuously put the company at risk by having a minor child, his nine-year-old stepdaughter, in the store in the early morning hours prior to opening as well as during working hours. ** is unable and unwilling to provide a work schedule for employees, thereby violating both State of CT and US Labor Laws. There has been no posted schedule for the store for several months. Employees are expected to call daily to serve at his will to determine if they are to work for that day.
During work, ** has been under the influence of alcohol. The smell of alcohol has been made evident to all employees, security personnel and customers on too many occasions. ** violates Labor laws daily in regards to denial of lunch breaks and other breaks. He has consistently required employees to stay in the store, sometimes for several hours, after close without pay, "off the clock" time.
** has called employees at home and made threatening remarks, swearing at and about employees as well as making threats to fire the person. He has called an employee's home looking for other employees that do not live there and also has made threatening remarks.
** has repeatedly violated the privacy of female employees by walking into the women's restroom while female employees have been using the facilities. This is considered sexual harassment by the female employees. **, District Manager, that is responsible for this store and ** immediate supervisor has been repeatedly been made aware of these actions and has also failed to address the situation.
CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA -- Family Dollar on Branchview has the rudest manager I have ever been in contact with!! You can't ask a question without her biting your head off. She's verbally abusive to the customers... I've had people tell me they stopped shopping in that store because of her!! I shop there a lot because the store is close to my house, but I will go to Dollar General which is 6 miles away just to avoid Donna at store number 251!! If you want to keep your customers happy you should replace her with someone that's able to provide good customer service! If you don't like being around people you should stay at home!!
I'm not sure if this is the place to leave this comment; but I wanted FD to know that the new Fabric Bandages manufactured in China are NOT any good. The previous ones manufactured in Egypt were of excellent quality and very satisfactory and every bit as good as the name brand!
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA -- To those of us who are less fortunate with money these Dollar stores are a blessing. The products are mostly quality products at low cost. I shop here all the time for my cleaning supplies and monthly needs. I also buy thing here for my child because she is a dollar store junkie. She would rather go to the dollar store than to Wal-Mart. Everything is affordable for me to last me the entire month and I'm not ashamed to say I shop here. I love this store and buy almost everything there.
