Buyer Beware

RHODE ISLAND -- I purchased two Agate Bracelets from this company for $19.99 each. One of them was absolutely beautiful. The other was cracked upon arrival. I suspect it was cracked when they put it in the box because the piece that is missing is not in the box. You would assume they do quality control, but apparently not. My issue is not with the quality of the product as it is very beautiful with the exception of the crack. My issue is with Far East Jade, first of all they don't have a number listed anywhere on their website for contact. After much searching I think identified a number online in RI, but don't know if it is them because it is a generic voicemail. Also their website says they have a good return policy because they want you to be satisfied. Well, I used their website and sent two emails to get this rectified and received no response.

I have sense found a way to purchase my Agate on eBay and cut out the middle man.

Buyer Be Ware, you will get your items but if you have problems with the items, you won't get resolution. At least I only had one damaged bracelet valued at $19.99 but I feel sorry for ANYBODY who purchases Jade from them.

As I am typing this message the Far East Jade website says " on vacation". What's amazing is I received no response to my two emails which were sent two weeks ago.

Here is the message

I am away on a buying trip from 7/9/09 to 8/5/09 to bring back more beautiful items.
All item order before 12:00 am 7/9 will ship out 7/9. Item order after 12:00 am 07/09 will send out 8/6/09.

I Never Got My Stuff

RHODE ISLAND -- Don't use these thieves. I ordered 3 bracelets, they charged my Master Card and I never go the items. They charged my card using PayPal. You would think that Paypal would check on who they do business with. I've written them 4 times by e-mail and have never heard a word back.

Did you attempt to file a dispute through PayPal?
Anonymous on 06/01/2009:
SC is spot on, if the jade company can't prove delivery then PayPal should charge them back for the sale.

Is this an EBay sale? Forget filing a complaint with Payfraud. File a chargeback with your credit card.

Report This Company!

I never received my metal clasp necklace I ordered in February. They never responded to my emails and they have no address or phone number for me to contact either. This company is full of thieves. Contact http://complaint.ic3.gov to report this company.

Far East Jade Buyers Beware!!!
Posted by on
Fareastjade.com who “specialize” in jade jewelry. Purchased some online jade and they sent the wrong stuff. After sending it back to them, and they agreed to refund me but after weeks and weeks of phone calls and e-mails, no sign of the money. Ran off with my money and no merchandise to show for it!!! Buyers beware cause they do NOT keep their word!!

Seems as Far East Jade is showing up more and more around here. Thanks for the info. (VH)

This site appears to be US based.

Contact the holder of the domain name, Network Solutions, at 570-708-8780. Have them give you an address of where you can serve "Far East Jade" court papers to sue them in small claims court. If they refuse, then you can sue them for serving as an accessory to fraud.
madconsumer on 02/20/2009:
since sueing is not always an option, and costly. contact the credit card company and file a complaint. they will need detials as the date item was returned, your proof of itemm received by them, and the number of telephone calls made. once investigated, they will possibly return your money.
