Give us specifics. Exactly *how* were they rude? They didn't bow down when you walked into the store?

I'm with Ponie on the details. Also, are you friendly to the employees? I wait on people at my husband's business and say hello when the walk in, up to the counter and thank you when they pay. Half the time I get no response whatsoever. Don't even get me started on people on their cell phones while they are checking out.

The tunnel was spooky so I used the train...

The north Jersey coastline had a stop right under Macy's... I couldn't keep my wife out of there...

Hey Fart, I was AWOL yesterday. How's your buddy doing?
old fart on 2008-06-01:
I don't know today doc... The last I heard they went back in, gave him a "temporary" bag and removed his appendix as a bonus... I'm not sure who benefits more, the doc or My buddy...I'll see him tomorrow..
I figure that if he keeps it up they'll make a canoe out of him..

If the doc needs to make more car or condo payments, Randy still has 2 kidneys, a gall bladder, spleen and liver yet to go...

"...if he keeps it up they'll make a canoe out of him."

I'm sorry for laughing...that is too good (and probably right). Thanks for giving me a 'keeper'. I'm outta here. Mucho stuff to do. Keep 'em honest, eh Fart?

See ya Doc... Got to go too...

It brings up an old memory. In the 'olden days' many clinics had intercoms in the exam rooms. I was discussing 'surgery A' versus a more extensive/expensive 'surgery B' with a patient. I thought I knew the patient well enough to joke with her (MISTAKE). She asked what would help make my decision. I pressed the intercom and said, "Janet, when do I leave for Hawaii?" The reply, "Next month, doctor." I turned to the patient and said, 'Surgery B it is!" She was not amused!

Ghost truly LOL at looking up at the buildings, then walking away after a crowd gathered! I thought my teenaged buddies and I were the only ones who pulled tricks like that. OMG, was that fun.

Hey Doc... how much time did you spend in the city?

I wonder if the poster of this review acknowledged the store employees. It's amazing how far a friendly smile and a "Hello" will go...unless you're in NYC. In NYC, if you smile and say 'Hello' to strangers you'll get pepper-sprayed.

I always enjoyed going into a store when I lived on the east coast, (Noo Joisey or Noo Yawk) and have an employee greet me with, "Wadda ya want"!!
I must be a masochist because I always got a kick out of it...

Hiya Fart! I believe the official greeting of NYC shopkeepers is "Yeah?" Rule #2...NEVER make eye contact on the subway!
old fart on 2008-06-01:
Doc.. If you looked into their eyes they would have reported you as some kind of preevert! And God forbid if they saw you looking UP at the buildings because you'd be surrrounded by panhandlers..
God how I miss the east coast!
Best years of my life!

LOL Fart! My buddies and I used to stop and look up at the buildings (pointing and gesturing). Eventually a crowd would gather. Then, we'd walk away. If there was a cop nearby, we'd tell the cop "There's something going on over there." Of course, then, we'd FLEE!

I had more fun and made more money there than anywhere else in my life.
We'd take the train from Pt.Pleasant N.J into the "city", (you NEVER called it New York) and spend all day cruising the village..Those were the days...

So, Fart, you were 'tunnel people'?
old fart on 2008-06-01:
I had north Jersey and Staten Island as my sales territory.
I loved the city but I hated Staten Island. It was a dump,
come to think of it , that's where the Fresh Kills landfill was...
