Posted by DebtorBasher on 12/31/2007
Hokey Pokey ElmoA 7-year-old boy from Utah was injured by a Hokey Pokey Elmo toy (Video: MyFoxUtah) that his 2-year-old sister received for Christmas.

The boy snagged his finger on a sharp bolt built into one of the feet on the toy.

The injury resulted in several pain-killing injections and stitches for the child.

I saw that footage on the nightly news. Nasty gash on the boy's hand indeed.

Wow, my little guy got one of them from his grandpa for Christmas. I think I may have to put that one in the closet after I take a look at it.

She also has a stuffed Elmo that is like five feet tall with a huge head!

Thanks DB. Anytime there's a problem with a particular toy I don't expect it is with every one of those toys. This one might have been a fluke or perhaps a problem down the road for others to have to deal with. There's no telling how many injuries have to be reported before an item is recalled. Any parent who has this particular Elmo for his child, please check it.
