Drivers side mirror

STERLING, VIRGINIA -- The drivers side distance mirror is tilted too far left and does not show the left side of the car, the blind spot. This is a definite safety issue. Wile driving on a double land highway and wanting to change lanes to the left, I used the mirror first, saw nothing in either distance or close up mirror. And turned my head to left. Turning your head to the left only allows you to see. Part of the left rear window. While merging, it turns out that was a car on my left drivers side, which was unseen. This mirror is a definite safety hazard and needs to be replaced by Ford. The right passenger mirror works fine, the way it's supposed to function.

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- Truck does not have any power, has a bad miss and smokes. Sometimes black and sometimes blue, its and 06 superduty diesel, has 180,000 miles on it, oil changed every 5000,has been will taken care of. there is a place in ATL. Call bullet proff your 6.0. For $4900 dollars he puts in new head gasets and APR studs, a EGR delegate kit, new water pump, new oil cooler, a programer, flush out of all fluids, a new charge on the AC, and cleaning of the turbo, with a one year warrant . "Now that's customer service" I don't think a heavy duty truck that is only 6 yrs old should be having these problems. THIS IS A FORD PROBLEM and should be taken care of by ford not the consurmer. The only way I'll ever buy another superduty is if ford makes this right.

OXNARD -- I took my car to Ford, they were supposed to repair my vehicle but still was not working so I had to take it to other dealer to tell me that the part the Ford replaced was damaged. So I took it to Ford and they changed the part, the car worked for 4 months and stopped again. I took to other dealer and the problem was the same part. Ford didn't want to replace the part again because they say that there is no warranty. Now I spent too much already in that car and the problem still continues. WHAT I CAN DO?

Recall of fuel tank straps breaking of the F-Series Pickups
By -

DURANT, IOWA -- Ron Alpen Ford told us the recall included our F-250. The straps broke. We had them replaced with new and paid out of pocket. Total bill $454.82. Now for over a year they have been giving us the run around saying no it was only the F-150 series and won't go to bat for us and turn this in. My question to you, does it matter if it's a F-150 or F-250, the same problem is involved. We could have been killed when they broke going down the road, but since we were not and we paid to have it fixed Ford can turn a blind eye to the problem.

If you look at our history for Ford vehicles you would see we have never caused a stink about anything. We have purchased three new Ford Explorers, two new Ford F-250's, a Mustang along the way, a Ford Ranger and you're willing to lose a good customer over a recall on defective fuel straps??? No idle threats here. We will be driving a new three quarter ton truck this year. This will decide if it's a Ford or not.

Misleading Advertising
By -

PLYMOUTH, INDIANA -- After seeing Mike Rowe promote Ford selling tires and going to website for rebate form, I decided to get 4 Continental 215/50 R17 tires on my Honda Accord from local dealer. Dealer beat tire price from Discount Tire, but when I asked for rebate form, I was informed that the tire didn't qualify, because it hadn't come from Ford. I was then informed it was a good thing because the tire would have been $60/tire more expensive.

Now how can they match prices and give a rebate on a higher priced tire and then turn around and say we bought a tire from a different source so it doesn't qualify. How was I to know that I needed to demand that the tires be ordered through Ford. The way I figure it is that through deceptive advertising they just screwed me out of $100.

Trying to Make Payments for My Uncle
By -

We were trying to help our uncle pay his car payment. He is behind 5 months. He's been in and out of the hospital and in and out of the therapy place for 5 months. We are in charge to pay his bills. We called the people at Ford Motor credit and we got a hold of the person in charge of the account and her name is Joan. We had the money to pay the car off in full and she put up an argument and she won't let us pay it. These people that act like that should be fired from their job because they are very inconsiderate and they don't care about anything and our uncle does not have access to a phone to call out to them. And she does not seem to care.

Ford motor company wants money but when the family member has the money to pay it they won't give you the payoff amount. They should just let you pay it off and get it over with. Get rid of these people that act like that. Fire them and hire new people. P. S. Money talks.

Parts Falling Off
By -

I own a 2007 Ford 500. Recently I noticed the roof molding on the driver side missing. I took the car to the local Ford dealership who told me that my extended warranty didn't cover parts which they considered this molding to be. I'm not sure how they distinguish between repair parts and parts such as fenders, bumpers and things that are not normally considered repair parts.

So, I guess if the whole car falls apart, my extended warranty won't cover repairing the car. Now for the shocker. I checked with two different Ford dealerships and the price to "repair" this fallen off molding is $246.00 from one dealership and over $400.00 from the other. I will promise any Ford executive who reads this that I have purchased my last Ford product.

Why Parts Fall Off Ford 500
By -

I bought a Ford 500 in 2005, it's paid off and the extended warranty has run out. This is when things start to happen. About three months ago, I took my car to go shopping, came home, and parked. The next morning, I go to get my car and I see that a piece of the roof is missing. I go to a Ford dealership and speak to the service manager, he tells me there is nothing he can do which is what I expected. I complained to Ford, nothing. The part that fell off is called the roof drip moulding. The cost of this part painted is $136.00.

In the first month, Ford changed my brake pads because I found a lot of brake dust on my wheels. I have 44,550 miles on my car now. I have had four sets of brakes put on this car, now they tell me that I need another set of rear brakes. Enough is enough. I asked the service manager about this and he told me that I must be hard on my brakes. I have the car for six years, four sets of brakes going on a fifth, 44,500 miles and I'm hard on brakes. My car was driven on the highway at 4am in the morning no traffic. I have bought Fords all my life. I am almost 70, I will never buy another Ford. My next car is a Hyundai. I don't think I should be responsible for body parts falling off cars.

Brake Pads
By -

On 11, March 2011 I had to have brake pads installed on my 2005 Lincoln LS at 54347 miles; that seems so unfair for that mileage. Beside the front wheel was always so dirty with the brake dust so I had them repair and the mechanic install carbon bad on the front wheel and now at 56988 there have never been any dust on the wheel so why did Ford install cheap pads on this vehicle. I would like to know the answer to this question. I have driven cars much longer without installing pads on them. As a matter of fact on my 2003 Buick Century I went almost 90,000 or better miles before installing brake pads on it. I need an answer. Thanks.

Ford Leases Beware
By -

DEARBORN, MICHIGAN -- I did a 3 year lease for a Ford Fusion for my wife. I turned in the car with 10,000 miles under the 36,000 allotted. The car was well taken care of and garage kept. There was a scratch, probably from a parking lot, the inspector said I may get "dinged" on. My wife chose to lease a car other than a Ford. Apparently, that was a big mistake. 2 weeks after turn in, I received an invoice for nearly $1000! I immediately contacted Ford via E-mail and received a survey in return??? I sent another correspondence to customer service and am now receiving threatening letters. I have been purchasing Ford products for nearly 30 years. Ford has seen the last dollar from me.
