LAS VEGAS, NEBRASKA -- I booked a rental car reservation to Fox Rental Car before even reading the reviews about them. I read bad ones which made me so anxious of having one with them. I am actually very satisfied with them, the car was clean and new, price was way better than the rest, customer relations-they were very friendly and accommodating. The only draw back was waiting for the shuttle bus that took me to their south point location but otherwise, they were great. I also took advantage of their gas option, well, I brought the car to California where gas was pricey and I did not have to worry about filling up my tank before I return the car. Gas option is beneficial if the place you are cruising has pricey gas just like California, my Gas Buddy helped me figure that out. Great price but that was all. Got there to find a very confused staff. My reserved full size car was given to some one else and no other cars available. Finally a dirty compact car came in and they gave that to me. Then upon return I had to wait over a half hour for the shuttle to take me to the airport. I went to Fox Rent a Car to pick up my car. I had a weekly rate.
At the rental counter the contract came to 5 days and 2 hours.
The put me over the weekly rate by about 6 dollars.
A lady, Diane in Las Vegas was called to the counter to assist.
She took her sweet old time to get to the counter to talk to me.
She was screwing off, talking to other employees and just staring
at the wall and then she finally came over to talk to me/
She was the manager on duty.
I asked her. Why do I need to pay for and extra 2 hours if I have the weekly rate? She gave me some crap about corporate way the computer makes the booking. She was really rude to me and actually screaming at me and
would not listen to me. The gentleman next to her just shut up. She was
the manager and he could not do more it seemed. He was polite.
I told them to cancel the rental. I went to Hertz and they took great
care of me.
Hertz is the best rental company followed by Avis......
Cheap Fox = Crap rude people who just want to rip off the customer
and to do not care. Diane was rude. Fox it appears was trying to rip me off. Do not rent from Fox they suck big time.
ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA -- Rented a 2 day car in Ontario, CA for $69, was told the office was open 4:30 AM for their shuttle, but no one was in the office 4:40. The yardman drove me to the airport which nice of him. Fox then charged by Visa $180 ($119 more than the contact) claiming they had to fill the gas tank which was filled 15 minutes prior to the drop off. This was a compact van and could not hold that much gas. Called, sent the email scan of the gas receipt showing the time of filling the tank at 4:28 AM and have had no response so had to use the Visa dispute process. I’m guessing someone knowing that no one was in the office filled their own car with gas.
Beware of this rental car company and the policies vs. practices. Their customer service is also the worst.
During a week-long trip to Las Vegas, Fox Car rental held monies on my credit card for a total of $330.00 and after that authorization was approved told us they did not do it. Tried on two more occasions to place holds on my credit card. Sent out a car that was on Empty that they claimed on the contract was on full, and also made it a point to tell us when we were leaving to make sure it returned on full. Spoiled a vacation in Vegas. Please, please do not rent from Fox.

Spend the extra money and rent from a more reputable company. It will be well worth the cost
