BROWARD, FLORIDA -- I wish we could have more options when choosing an energy company. Here in Florida (unfortunately) one one "Florida Power & Light" they have the worst customer service ever!! When someone calls, they sound very nasty on the phone. They talk to people like talking to a child. We, as consumers, need more options like New York, Texas, etc. Nasty, nasty, nasty customer service. They only act like that, because they're the only source of energy in the State of Florida.
I have always paid my FPL bills on time and I never am more than a week late but FPL says they didn't get 2 payments said it went to another account so I'm being punished for this. And the balance kept getting higher even though I've been making payments and my bank has proof of this. And I had to pay 567 to turn on my power because of past balance that should not be and they said that in August I made an online pay and it was returned.
That's a lie too. I made that payment in person at a FPL paying location in August cash. I want them to refund me the 567. I had to pay to turn my power back on and to credit the 561. I paid in August that they say didn't get credited this is wrong very wrong.
After losing my job and falling behind my mortgage payments, FPL raised my deposit by $650.00. I will complain with Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and whoever wants to hear me. I don't trust FPL and they need competition!!! It's time to break their monopoly.
