VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON -- A year ago I had shipping needs. I sent several pallets after having a quote provided by salesperson. When I received my bill and saw the charge on my charge card, it was double the quote. I called and the sales representative used the wrong code for my quote. I protested and then they said the weight was off so I provided them the manufacturer's spec sheet and still they did not credit me. Finally, after pestering them over and over they issued a partial credit. I had to call to have it applied to my credit card as they left it as a credit on their end. I'm out several hundred dollars and will never, ever do business with them again. They are terrible.

Shipping Reveiw

KANSAS CITY, WISCONSIN -- If you decide to use this company please read this review first. I am a medium sized Ebay seller and from time to time I sell items that are too large for USPS so in an effort to find more reasonable shipping then ups or Fedex freight I used Freightquote a few times. My last shipment with this company was LOST not damaged but lost. All shipping companies will try to blame damage on your packaging but my item was lost. It's been 6 months and the only and best offer I received for my $1000.00 item was $150.00. I have never received any written explanation for this. After 6 months of many not returned calls from the "Claims Department" I have now decided to accept this offer again no reply. BEWARE these people sell a service and profit from the sale but accept no responsibility and pass blame on to the shipper. The shipper may in fact be responsible but I did not hire the shipper Freightquote did I am Freightquotes customer Freightquote is the shipping companies customer. I personally will never use them again. The sad part is both of the sales people I dealt with were great and did everything they could. I know that all the negative reviews will affect their ability to earn commissions. This company just doesn't seem to care about customers.

Fraudulent Billing From Freightquote

SUN VALLEY, IDAHO -- I hired Freightquote in October 2016 and have been harassed by their billing department ever since for an unpaid balance when in fact, by my calculations, they owe me money. They quoted me $738.88 and kept calling with more competitive quotes to get my order to ship hardwood flooring from Oregon to my home in Idaho. They made a mistake on the label and then shipped the hardwood floors back to Oregon while I had a crew waiting to install it in Idaho. It finally arrived in Idaho many days late.

In the meantime, Freightquote billed me twice, once on 10/5/2016 for $738.88 and once on 10/21/2016 for $738.88. Although I have sent Freightquote copies of my credit card bill, they refuse to recognize the first charge. On 11/18/2016 they credited me back $738.00 and 3/3/2017 they charged me another $688.89 AND FOR WHAT!!! They had no right to do that.

I have answered harassing collection calls until I am blue in the face, asked them to please put me in touch with management but I can't get past the call center. The sales staff ignores the facts. I am hoping this gets escalated to someone high up on the Freightquote management team who can help me and stop the harassing.

ASHLAND, OREGON -- I have used FreightQuote.com for over ten years. When I first started I was delighted. I was saving so much compared to buying freight shipping directly. They are not always the cheapest. I'm looking at booking seven shipments right now. They are the cheapest for two of the seven. My sales agent (Kevin **) at FreightQuote.com is always very helpful. And he's been my same agent for years.

Everyone who knows me would describe me as overly-critical. Still, I fail to understand the negative reviews. Trucking companies are the "worst" and FreightQuote has always gone "above and beyond" to help get my freight moving. I have had many complaints over the years (this is my 45th year in business) with trucking companies, but never a problem with FreightQuote.

They Suck!!! Worst Shipping Company Ever. I Would Give Zero Stars If I Could.

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- This was the worst experience I have ever had with a shipper. They screwed up my pick up order, claimed the shipper was lying. That they never got it in the first place and even if they did they didn't have to pick it up if their truck was full. Had a long conversation with the shipper and they said they would always notify them if there was a pick up issue and the pick up reference # they had was for another company. Either the guy never placed the order or they notified him and he never notified me. The Freightquote guy was an ass and kept saying "We are the biggest company out there and your complaint won't mean anything."

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- BEWARE. I had an awful experience with this company and they take no responsibility for their services. Here's what happened. I shipped a crated small table to California. They asked $420 for the delivery. Then comes the surprise.

They "remeasured" the package and doubled the volume. I sent them pictures and re-measurements to no avail. It would be obvious by the pictures alone that the width was half the length of the height. This nearly doubled the cost and my credit card was charged an additional $300 without my permission. In trying to resolve this they kick the can down the road and tell me to Duke it out with their subcontractor. This is bait and switch. I believe this company is patently dishonest. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Empty Promises and Terrible Customer Service!!!

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- We had a terrible experience with Freight Quote. We asked for a trailer to be dropped on a Monday and picked up Wednesday at noon. On Monday morning, I received a call that Freight Quotes carrier canceled. Because we needed to get the shipment to our customer as we promised we agreed to work with Freight Quote. Their solution was to have a trailer at our location early Wednesday morning. By 11 am on Wednesday the trailer was not here. The customer service representative (Cardith) had the nerve to ask me why we were arguing. The company took no responsibility for the issue and charged us $250.00 for canceling the shipping.

I would highly recommend avoiding this company at all cost. Even if they are slightly cheaper than their competitors they will not come through for their customers and truly do not care about them. I have never had such horrible customer service in my 20 years in the workforce.

Quote One Price But Charge More After Delivery

KANSAS -- I booked 2 shipments for 2 identical metal lathes, was quoted $479.00 for each shipment. On the pickup date I get a call saying they can't pick up the machine because it needs to be wrapped in plastic. They said they would pick it up the next day as long as it was wrapped so the shipper wrapped it. The next day the truck shows up and refuses to pick it up again. Now it needs to be crated, they say. The rep calls me and says, "I'll get a different carrier to pick it up the next day but it will cost $538.75". I said, "Ok."

After delivery I get the bills, there is an additional $270.00 in charges because Freightquote classed the shipment incorrectly and it was 300 pounds overweight on a 2000 pound shipment. The second shipment was quoted $479.00, also after delivery I get the bill there is an additional $175.00 charge for a non-commercial delivery. So I called to dispute the bill. They said they would dispute the charge.

24 hours later I get an email saying, "We looked up the address and it is a residence so the charge is valid," and I need to pay it. Normally a non-commercial delivery is delivered with a truck with a liftgate but I had to unload the machine with my forklift. Freightquote will quote you one price then charge you extra for whatever they want to charge you for. Users beware.

Extorting Triple Charges

Same experience as many others. Their rep, Brandi coordinated a front loader to be moved from New York to Texas. Three weeks after its arrival I get a bill three times the original charge. I get the front loader weighed and confirm original weight. They won't listen and despite having no signed paperwork threaten collection agency with a 33% uplift or I can take a 15% discount today! There should be a class action suit brought against them as they have no business being in business. Very poor example of how to operate.

NEVER USE THEM AS IT SEEMS SO PERVASIVE A PRACTICE THEY WILL DO IT TO YOU TOO. I only wish I had read reviews before I used them because I cannot be bothered with the hassle of suing them if necessary. I will not pay the fake charges and expect to get a lot of harassing phone calls soon!

Drastically Overcharged by Freightquote

KANSAS CITY, KANSAS -- At first I was very happy with the service Freightquote provided. They arranged with a shipping carrier to pick up a heavy item and ship it from Arizona to Virginia for me. I estimated the size and weight and tried to err on the side of overestimation. The shipping company came on time and delivered on time and Freightquote charged my credit card the agreed-upon price.

Three weeks later I noticed a second charge from Freightquote that was more than double the original agreed-upon price. They claim that the item was twice as large as my estimate and that the charge is to make up for that difference. There is absolutely no way that the item was twice as heavy/large as I estimated, but when I brought this to their attention, I got nowhere and they have never offered legitimate evidence of the estimate being half of the actual. I tried to dispute this with my credit card company, but they refused to take a position on the charge. I would highly recommend thinking twice about using this company.
