Did Not Deliver!
Posted by Jones6923 on 07/22/2013
GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- DID NOT DELIVER and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I do not usually post comments but was extremely disappointed in fromyouflowers.com. I ordered flowers for a special occasion. The flowers were not only promised to be delivered same day, but needed to be delivered on the day for the purpose! My credit card was charged so I assumed the order was placed and flowers delivered. I got a call 2 days later from the company saying that the flowers could not be delivered on the day promised or the day after, but would I like to have them delivered the following day (3 days after ordering)?! Oh, and "for my inconvenience," the delivery fee would be waived! (WELL, I WOULD HOPE SO, CONSIDERING THEY WERE NOT DELIVERED WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE!!!!!). I would have also liked to be offered a % off, but they "could not do that." I declined, asked for my money back and called a local florist. Spent a little extra in the end but my flowers were delivered same day with a smile!

Awful Flowers Nothing Like The Picture
Posted by Adelinehogan on 03/20/2013
My husband ordered flowers for my boss because she did us a favor. When they came I thought they looked cheap. Pattie said she loved them (of course). When I got home I asked him about the flowers. He showed me the picture online. They looked nothing like the picture. I emailed my disappointment and they send me a $10 off my next purchase. Are they crazy - Who would buy from them again????

No flowers at visitation
Posted by Calicaban on 03/07/2013
OLD SAYBROOK, CONNECTICUT -- My Niece's visitation was Feb. 14, 2013 at Forest Lawn in Covina Hills, CA. I instructed fromyouflowers.com to deliver the white rose casket spray in time for the visitation at 5:00 P.M. on the 14th. On the 13th, I decided I'd better call them and make sure everything was on track. It was only after I called them that they told me they were delivering the flowers on the 15th for the funeral. When I asked them why not the 14th as I asked, they said the funeral home at Forest Lawn had told them they could not deliver on that day.

I actually drove to the funeral home to find out what was amiss. They found it was a fluke in their system and assured me everything was fixed. On the 14th at 5pm my family and I arrived to find a plain casket with no flowers. I spend 20 minutes waiting for fromyouflowers.com to respond and was told they refused the flowers again. After a back and forth tussle with the funeral home and fromyouflowers.com, the flowers were finally delivered.

They actually had the temerity to mention that it was "Valentine's Day" and that the florist might not be able to deliver on such short notice. For their part, Forest Lawn responded by having their own florists immediately make a lovely spray of flowers with no cost to me. Foryouflowers.com, on the other hand, seemed bent on finding excuses for their failure. I wrote them a letter and a supervisor called me. I explained what had transpired and his first response was that I had been called. That was a lie and a bad start for them. After that, it went downhill. As I tried to explain, he talked over me and I had to keep saying "hello" before he shut up and let me get a word in edgewise.

The conversation didn't last long because all he wanted to do was find excuses for their lack of good service. If I'd heard an "we're sorry" for your inconvenience or something like that, I'd have been somewhat satisfied. But I never heard those words.

Always deal with a local florist rather than an online "distributor" that gets them local anyway
Posted by Obsfucation on 2013-03-07:
Did you have to pay for them? That's pretty bad CS, for sure.
Posted by trmn8r on 2013-03-07:
Who found that it was a "fluke in their system"? If it was fromyouflowers, then I agree they really let you down.

These internet and 1800 flower complaints make me happy I still contact florists directly.

Not even close to what I ordered
Posted by Ksteilow on 03/02/2012
MAINE -- I'm not usually one to write reviews, but as I am currently sitting in Afghanistan with some extra time on my hands AND this happens to have irritated me to the point where I cannot sleep this seemed like something I should review. Being in the military I am used to missing holidays, birthdays, and most any other important event, but the one thing I rely on is that I can always send flowers so that they know I am thinking of them.

It was my cousin's 21st birthday today. She's a wonderful young woman who has been through a lot in her short lifetime and I was very unhappy to not be there for it, so I sent flowers. A very pretty arrangement called "Red & Pink Floral Margarita." Now I should mention my cousin lives in Maine. So, understandably I had expected the arrangement to differ in flower selection due to the seasonal nature of flowers. But the arrangement that showed up was so bad, so substandard to what I had ordered that it makes me sick. Cheap flowers and you can tell the florist put no effort at all into the arrangement. Cheap flowers in a big cheap vase. No, margarita vase even.

Now, if the "florist" in that area cannot provide a product similar to what is paid for online then it would be safe to assume either 1.) It wouldn't be offered so people wouldn't be paying $50 dollars for something that cannot be provided or 2.) The person would be contacted and arrangements for an equal value floral arrangement could be made or 3.) Reimbursement. Nope. They delivered a cheap product on an important birthday for an unreasonable price, nowhere close to what had been ordered. I actually have pictures of what I ordered versus what was delivered, and if this site let me post them I would. This was from www.fromyouflowers.com . . . I was actually so disappointed in her receiving these flowers that I repurchased and expedited some from www.1800flowers. com

I took a quick glance at some reviews about these folks. There were a lot of bad experiences, not only on this site, but several others as well (about 8 of them), including one from a florist's shop indicating that they didn't recommend accepting orders from this company. Writing a review like this will be a helpful warning to other consumers. Thank you!

Never Got My Flowers
Posted by MamaHESS on 05/10/2011
I place two orders- one for each Mom of mine- my mother and my mother-in-law. Let's start with my mother's order- it came in and was not at all what I ordered. When I called customer service about it, their computer translated it to a different bouquet, instead of the radiant Peruvian Lilly bouquet, however, my confirmation was what I ordered. Not only was it not the Lilly bouquet, it didn't even look like the other- the flowers were from ROYER'S flowers- a shop I don't shop at because they make terrible bouquets locally and I recommend you do not use them. They sent DEAD carnations and 7 Lilly flowers. I called customer service and got my money back but Royer's gets to pick up the flowers? They ruined my gift and I don't think I should have to give back the flowers.

Now let us move on to my Mother-In-Law's order. They were supposed to be delivered on Saturday to her home... and I find out on Saturday night that they never arrived. Customer service offered to redeliver on Tuesday, because they couldn't deliver Monday- so I agreed to this rather than getting all of my money back because I wanted my Mother-In-Law to have flowers for Mother's Day. So, it is now Tuesday night and my Mother-In-Law never got her flowers.

I called customer service and got my money back. I will never EVER use fromyouflowers.com again.

From You Flowers Awful Customer Service
Posted by Bernice Reyes on 03/01/2011

DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS FROM THEM. I ordered SYMPATHY flowers for a coworker whose husband died of CANCER from her our Division. The flowers were never delivered and I NEVER received a phone call to let me know that those flowers were not delivered.

This made me and my coworkers appear unconcerned for such a great loss to her and family. The only way we found out about flowers not being delivered was because someone asked her about them. NOBODY from From You Flowers contacted me.

The flower order was replaced in the CITY where plenty of florists are available and again they did not deliver. The manager that I spoke with Cameron from From You Flowers was rude and was not sympathetic towards the situation. That company is unreliable and has ZERO customer services skills. If the coworker was never asked about her delivery From You Flowers would have kept the money and never would have delivered the flowers. This is a SCAM and FRAUD do not send a love one flowers from this company you may lose your money and hope in customer service.

The flowers were ordered on FEBRUARY 11, 2011 today is March 1, 2011 it is still unresolved, they promise SAME DAY DELIVERY. This company is a scam, unreliable and I had the worse experience with them so not waste your time and money.

It's an unfortunate, but good, lesson to learn to just go straight to a florist rather than using these random online florist services.

100% Dissatisfied
Posted by IamSOupset withthiscompany on 02/14/2011
I placed my order on Friday the 11th for an order to be delivered today 02/14, there was an option to pay additional money for the order to be delivered by 12 (Noon); I paid the additional money expecting it to be delivered. I call at 1 pm wondering why the flowers had not arrived and what I was told is that they could refund the amount paid for faster delivery.

I told the lady to refund it and that they are being delivered to a school there is not much time to get there. Now it is 4pm and still no flowers. I called again and requested a refund. The Mr asked why I wanted a refund, I told him because the flowers were not delivered on time. He said we don't guarantee delivery any time on Valentine's day. (It was acknowledged earlier that they do) I brought it to his attention but he ignored. Said he would have to contact the florist and make sure they were not delivered and once they are safe back at the florist then they will see about a refund.

Will never use them again.

I'll never understand why people use these online "florists" rather than a real, local florist.
Posted by jktshff1 on 2011-02-14:
momsey, if you are sending flowers from Dallas to Memphis, unless you are familiar with Memphis or have someone there that can advise you where to go, you would have trouble picking a "local" florist.
That being said, ordering flowers online on a Friday for a Monday delivery (b4 noon) on VT Day, is taking a chance, even local. It's one of the busiest days of the year. That and the day after for the one's that forgot.
Posted by momsey on 2011-02-14:
Not true, jkt. You can go to YOUR local, trusted florist and they can arrange for another florist in their network to send whatever you need wherever you need it. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but I've done this countless times with our local florist and never had a problem.
Posted by jktshff1 on 2011-02-14:
I understand that, family used to own a flower/wedding shop, but like you said that don't always work. I agree with using the local shop.

Bait and switch
Posted by Mitch1029 on 02/14/2011
I am completely disappointed with what they delivered today!

When I placed the order I saw the note on the order saying that they might have to substitute and I called your customer service twice before I placed the order. The first person I spoke to said that it was possible that they may have to substitute the wire mesh for a different color but that would be only change. The second person said that he checked and I would definitely get something that looked very similar in size and presentation. According to the description of the remarkable roses it was to be 36 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. what was delivered was a simple round vase.

The only reason I ordered this is because of the presentation. It was so much different than anything I have ever seen and I wanted something more than just flowers in a vase. Which is what they delivered a vase of roses. If that is what I wanted I could have gotten it for less than 100$ from Proflowers.com. I went with From You Flowers because I was told of good things from a co-worker who used them.

When I called their customer service department I was told there are a lot of unhappy people today and there was nothing you can do for me. I called twice and got the same answer.

I will never order through them again as I don’t feel as though they even made an attempt to deliver what I ordered. I understand that this is a very busy day for them and I can understand that there may be a need to substitute a white vase for a red one. However the product you delivered is not even close to what you depicted in size or presentation.

How does the service I received meet their specifications of 100% satisfaction. I am not even 50% satisfied and was told too bad. Nothing we can do. What I got was 0% satisfaction.

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

From You Flowers, LLC offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our service for any reason feel free to contact us. Total Bait and Switch

Photos of the two baskets. One from the ad, the other is the one that was delivered.
Photos of the two baskets. One from the ad, the other is the one that was delivered.
My son is away at college and he is celebrating his 20th birthday there. I wanted to do something special for him, so I decided to send him a fruit and snack basket. I wanted it to be special, so I was willing to spend a little more than average for this occasion. I found a delightful-looking basket on fromyouflowers.com. I ordered the Deluxe basket and the optional ballons, of which I could specify the colors. I waited anxiously all day until I received a photo via cell phone. I was so disappointed when I saw the basket! It looked absolutely NOTHING like the one in the picture as advertised. The balloons were even the wrong colors. I wrote the company and email, as they have a so-called 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Ha! First they offered me a $10 certificate to be used on a future purchase. Um NO. There won't be a future purchase, thank you. I sent a reply quoting their guarantee that they would either refund my money or send a replacement.... my choice. This was countered with an email stating that they would "give" me a 20% refund in addition to the $10 coupon. I emailed them back and asked if I was to presume that their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee is a farce because giving me a 20% refund is not the same as refunding my money. I didn't receive a reply yet. I will not do business with these folks again. I wish I could upload photos here, because I could show you the difference between the two (advertised one and actual delivered one)

ooops! Typo noticed. I am aware that Balloons has two o's
Posted by momsey on 2011-01-24:
Sorry, I'm not seeing a big difference between the two photos. Other than the color of the balloons, what is wrong with the basket he received?
Posted by Venice09 on 2011-01-24:
Without taking apart the basket on the right, it's hard to know what's in there. Did the website list specific items, or did it say something like subject to availability or products may vary? I think the basket on the right looks quite nice, and that the offer of a coupon and partial refund is generous. Your son was probably thrilled with the basket he received.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
It looks quite different to me, the basket is a different color, and it certainly does not look like there is as much fruit or anything else in the basket as the one pictured on the left....but venice is right. I wouold have liked to see it opened.
Posted by momsey on 2011-01-24:
Prince, when you order something like this, especially online, you can't expect something like the basket to be exactly the same right down to the color. As has been stated, it's hard to tell from the picture how much different it is.

I just looked at the website. First of all, it states that components may vary, which is pretty standard. There are also three options - regular, deluxe, and premium. We don't know which one the OP ordered.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
Momsey, the OP ordered the deluxe.
Posted by momsey on 2011-01-24:
Missed that, thanks, hothead.

So it's the middle option, and I still wonder how this picture was taken. Is the basket turned to the side? As others have said, it would be easier to see differences when it's opened.
Posted by trmn8r on 2011-01-24:
To me, other than color of basket and balloon, these baskets look like they contain similar ingredients. Obviously from a different angle, but I can see the boxes of crackers in there, and the fruit.

At a glance, I think the offer of 20% is fair to make up for what appear to be aesthetic differences. Maybe there are more.

Edit - I can't see jam bottles and the crackers may be different. It is hard to tell - the OP only mentioned the overall look.
Posted by Crown Jules on 2011-01-24:
I agree that it looks like a very nice basket and appears to contain what was ordered. The description on the website doesn't specify exactly what will be in the basket and it does say components may vary. I believe the picture from the website it just meant to show what is included, not how the basket will look upon arrival. If it was delivered as shown in the picture, that orange on the right and the box of crackers in the front would be falling out of the basket entirely.
Posted by Venice09 on 2011-01-25:
Exactly, CJ. The delivered basket is wrapped to hold everything together, otherwise things would be falling out. That makes it appear smaller. And as trmn said, the angle is different. The size/contents of the basket cannot be fairly determined from a side-angle shot.

Unless the OP unwrapped the basket, she really has no idea if the contents are less than what is depicted on the website. The only way to get to the bottom of it would be to ask her son to describe the contents. I personally wouldn't do that because I think it takes away from the pleasure of receiving the gift.

I realize that there's a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but I think the offer of both a coupon and a 20% refund is more than fair considering the difference in the two baskets cannot be determined by the photos alone. I wouldn't feel right accepting a full refund in this case.

I Got Ripped Off!!
Posted by Pkay on 10/01/2010
OLD SAYBROOK, CONNECTICUT -- I ordered from flowersforyou.com for the first time on 9-30-10 for a friend's funeral. I ordered what I thought was a nice arrangement in a vase and I upgraded to the deluxe to make sure I got a better than average arrangement. I spent around 60.00. I was so embarrassed when I got to the funeral home for the visiting that evening and there sat my flowers in a "vase" that was the size of a soda can; it was pitiful.

It looked like something I would pay 19.99 (maybe) for in the grocery store. I will never use this company again.

Where do you find websites with names like that?
Posted by Anonymous on 2010-10-01:
were there pictures on the website? I know generally website pictures aren't 100% accurate, but at least that could have given you some kind of idea.
Have you tried contacting the company?
Posted by Anonymous on 2010-10-01:
Why didn't the OP go to a local floral shop and personally view and request what they wanted?
Posted by Skye on 2010-10-01:
I just went to the webside, and they have a beautiful selection of sympathy flower arrangements.

OP, just as mr.vw mentions, have you contacted them? You should be satisfied with what you ordered and since you are not, let them know about it.

My condolences on the loss of your friend.
Posted by momsey on 2010-10-01:
This is a great reason to just go to your local florist!
Posted by Skye on 2010-10-01:
I agree momsey, but sometimes maybe the OP's local florist is not in the same area as the deceased. When I need to send flowers out of town, I usually google local florists in the area to use, to send my arrangements. None of this third party stuff, which gives everyone a headache. Also, many times the funeral homes, have on their websites, local florists shops they recommend to use, during times like this.

Nice that the op warned others, during such a stressful time in their life.
Posted by momsey on 2010-10-05:
Skye, it doesn't matter if your local florist is in the same area as where you want to send the flowers. A good florist will be in a network. You can tell them what you want and they'll go into their network and have another good florist send the flowers.

But yes, I agree, there's never a reason to use these random websites.
