SOUTH BEND, INDIANA -- Called about replacement pump for fountain purchased 2 years ago. Pump was sent. Discover that pump could not be attached to fountain. Called Garden Treasures. Received an email saying fountain was discontinued. Why was I sent a pump if the fountain was discontinued? Now I am having difficulty returning the pump. I called and the people I have spoken to sound as if they are on drugs, half asleep or just do not care.
I use to think Lowe's was a half decent place to shop but I realize they carry junk and I will never purchase anything of this nature from them again. Garden Treasures should be banned. If Lowe's carried the quality of garden and patio decorative supplies they think they do they would do away with this company. Poor customer service and morons seem to be running both organizations. Now I understand why I should buy local and not at a big box store. This is only my first attempt of reviewing Lowe's and Garden Treasures on the internet.
SUFFERN, NEW YORK -- I purchased this swing set back in July of 2004. By the summer of 2006 I needed a canopy replacement so I called the number on the instructions and ordered one for $13.00. It took close to 2 months before I received my order. At the end of 2008 I removed the canopy, washed it per instructions and it shredded. I didn't think to check and order then I started in February trying to order the canopy replacement. Called the number I ordered from before. They told me they no longer have this item and couldn't help me.
I e-mailed Lowe's and the guy tried to be so helpful - gave me the place that was subsiding of Lowe's (Which is L. G. Sourcing, Inc, P. O. Box 1535, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). I have written two letters to them and I haven't heard from them yet. I have been on every website and either they are larger or it cost more than the original swing set (which I paid $69.00). They can't even tell me what touch-up paint.
I'm really not complaining about Lowe's per se but they really should have some way of getting me this part or a phone number which they don't have. The dimensions of my canopy is 61" Long and 43" Wide in Beige. I want to know how do I get a replacement that would fit my canopy frame and where & cost?
Please get me some information on this. There is nothing wrong with the rest of the set, I just need the canopy. My husband cannot enjoy the swing set because he has skin cancer and needs to be under some shade which the canopy would cover.
KANSAS -- My husband and I received a patio set for our wedding. When he took the coffee table out of the box to put it together he showed me the frame was bent. Thinking it may "pull" itself together he went ahead and put it together.
Well, it did NOT pull together and it began unraveling. The ends of the wicker cord were not tied to anything. They were just kind of "stuck" in loosely and they came apart leaving a shabby looking coffee table. I called the phone number on the paperwork.
The lady told me in order to use the warranty (?) we would need to mail in our receipt with photos. I told her I didn't have a receipt as it was a gift. She said to get warranty service we would have to follow the rules! Now we are stuck with a piece of crap that was MADE IN CHINA. This company has no email address or website. Pretty nifty scheme I'd say.
