Repair people refused to believe technical problems about the new ASUS computer. I returned the computer to them several times, they continued to deny the computer needed repair. They treated me as though I didn't know what I was complaining about. I will never consult this company again. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 08/06/2012Add reply

Geek squad charges you high amounts of monthly phone insurance and when it comes to payout they give you faulty or refurb products. They charged me about 12 pounds per month and when my iPhone got stolen they replaced it with a refurbed phone which did not work. When I went to carphone they told me they cannot exchange it as Geek Squad only gives out refurbed sets and they don't keep any refurbed sets at the store. After paying insurance of 12 quid per month and a further 50 pounds for the claim I calculated that I could have just brought a brand new iPhone instead of falling for Geek Squads sham.

I bought a battery backup, which is a pretty simple item, but it started screwing up on me four days later. I called support and talked to a very belligerent, unknowledgeable guy who would not even let me speak to his supervisor. He was so rude that I promptly returned the product to Best Buy. This could have been a minor glitch with the battery backup, but the quality of the customer support is so low that I am scared of a real problem occurring and then I would be really screwed. You would think with a name like Best Buy or maybe just Geek Squad, that they would care about their reputation, but obviously not.

So, buyers beware of the Geek Squad battery backup. It has no support!!!
PORTLAND, OREGON -- I made a service call for a single desktop at a small business that was disabled due to malware and viruses. Geek Squad quoted me $119 and scheduled me for 2 days later. On day of appointment, I got a call from the tech who said his paperwork was wrong and he could not make the appointment that day. He also pointed out the price would be $299. I called the 800 # and was told the same thing and that no supervisor was available to speak with me.
